I found out 5 days before my period and used the Answer brand test, all of which turned out positive. However, you have a high chance of false negatives testing so early, it's really up to you, depends on how much money you're willing to spend. If you test early expect to have to do it again. Good luck!

It takes 6 to 12 days for a fertilized egg to travel to the uterus and attach itself to the lining. Then it will take another day or two for the egg to release hcg (pregnancy hormone). The home pregnancy test detects the hcg hormone in urine. So the best time to test is around the time your period is due and first thing in the morning (hcg levels surge in the morning). First Response can detect pregnancy as early as 5 days before your missed period. Good luck.

Don't bother with a home test until you are 3 to 5 days overdue for your period. Otherwise, you are highly likely to get a false negative, and you are likely throwing your money away.
Use first morning urine for greatest accuracy. First Response is one of the most sensitive tests on the market.

Their is a test you can do 3 days before your missed period, but I would wait until then and take an EPT test. I love them, and they are 99.9% accurate.
