Of course you can, just start a little at a time to make sure it doesn't upset her tummy. The reason you're supposed to wait until 12 months is because their digestive system can't always handle it. I started my son at meal times with a cup of cows milk at 10 months and gradually started giving him more and more. He loved it and is perfectly healthy.

I waited until my son was 11 months and then slowly weened him off formula and onto Cow's milk.
With my daughter, I know it's bad but she is only 8 1/2 months old and just starting drinking Cow's milk.
It wont hurt your son to start getting use to cow's milk. I would start him with 4oz. for a couple of weeks and then see how his poop is doing. As long as he doesn't have diarrhea to bad then after the 2 weeks go ahead and give him 8oz. bottle of regular cow's milk.

My daughter is 10 month old and she has already had pudding and yogurt and she has already drank cow's milk. All this started at around age 7 months or so. She had no problem with any of it. But you do need to watch for allergies.I would go head and try to start cow's milk but if you are realy unsure talk to her docter and see what his opinion is.

Hmmm. i'm a type of "by the e book" variety mom, so i does not change to cow's milk until eventually all of my thoughts have been exhausted. have you ever tried each and every diverse form of formulation accessible? My daughter easily had possibilities. You stated that it makes him gag -- are you specific it quite is the formulation and not the bottle/nipple (it is assuming you never pump and supply him breastmilk in a bottle)? My greatest subject does not be the allergy component (nevertheless which could be important if allergic reactions are uncomplicated on your loved ones), however the reality that formulation is fortified with all varieties of foodstuff that cow's milk does not have. To deprive your toddler of those for 3 months feels like a protracted time to me, particularly while they say little ones get the final public of their foodstuff from breastmilk or formulation interior the 1st 365 days. foodstuff does not be sufficient to supplement the shortcoming of those foodstuff. it truly is basically my opinion. interior the top, it is your toddler and your selection, and you're able to do what works for you and your toddler. solid success!

What I did was i started with the can milk carnation, you use half milk half water. Then I switched her to cows milk at the age of one, but to ask your doctor, because all babys are different

You should go ahead and wait that one more month just to be safe. I would rather be safe than sorry. They say you shouldn't give them cows milk before 1 year because of milk allergies. They obviously have a reason for saying so, so you might as well wait one more month.

My doctor said its fine even at 9 months. You have to watch for reactions and constipation though so start slow. You might also try evaporated milk diluted with 1/2 water. My daughter loves it! My doctor says it was what they used for formula before formula became popular!

My oldest was off formula & on whole milk at 9 months. My youngest wasn't but until after 1 yr but for other reasons. The day your child turns one is not a magical day where she is isntantly ok to eat/drink certain things that she wouldn't have beenok to eat the day before. KWIM? If youwanna do it gradually oyu can but it isn't necessary.
