I have 193 best answers and the #10 on the top 10 answeres only has 189 best answers. How come I'm not in the Top 10?

I'm kind of new to this....but doesn't it go by a percentage, not the number of best answers?

that is how it was when i first started out...i would have way more answers (best) and not be in the top 10. I would check it ever so often then i would be there. It was so weird. I started at being #10 best answerer in this catergory and now i am at #3 with almost 400 best answers.
Is your 193 best answers all in the pregnancy catergory? Cause in all i have 553 best answers but 358 (i think) are in the preg. catergory)
that may be why
Just keep on answering questions and try not to ask questions yourself so you can get alot of points.
But it could be going by the % rate. I am 16% best answerer

Because only 7% of your total answers are best. The top ten answers have a high amount of best answers AND a high percentage. This means the majority of their answers are best.
Also--the parenting section is not the best place to get on the Top 10. The answers given are normally not based on fact but opinion. If that is your goal answer only question where facts are relevant. For example; "What is the answer to this math question?" or "What is the capitol of Zimbabwe?" If you elaborate facts you will get more best answers. If you ask only questions you are knowledgeable about giving educated not opinionated answers. This way the probability of getting the "Best Answer" are higher. And getting "Best Answer" will be more frequent.

Its the volume of answers you've given in ratio to the best answers in that catagory.
I have 380 best answers but iam a level 6 and compared to all my answers and the different catagories theyre in, iam not in the top 10.

Your best answers have to be in the same category. You have about 155 best answers in pregnancy and parenting. It has nothing to do with percentage. Keep up the good work. You'll be there in no time!

Maybe it has to do with the level rather than just the number of best answers.

does it really matter? this is just a place to get answers not compete
not to mention this question doesnt even go in this category
