I went through that with both. I just came from the doc's for my 7 week old. He said to get Nasaline Spray. Called Oceanview. Or get a generic brand.
Also, if you are nursing your baby needs to stay hydrated. So NURSE
Aslo, Baby Johnson & Johnson had created a "Vapor baby Bath" It is a green bottle. It works wonders!
Turn your shower on so it is steamy. Then run a bath, put a capful of the vapor bath inthe tub and wash your baby up. The vapors in the baby bath soultion has a mild menthol smell to it.

Your baby's nose should clear up.

Hope this helps you.

You need to take her to her pediatrition and see if he can give you something stronger. I had the same problem with my baby girl. Her doctor gave her a decongestant and amoxicillin and now she's doing just fine...

Some nights I had to let her sleep part of the night in her swing in order for her to breath a little better. If you don't havea swing try bringing the car seat inside and letting her sleep in it sometimes when it's really bad. sitting up will help her breathe better while she tries to sleep.

I have also put a humidifier in her room. I'm sure if it's actually helping or not, but you could try that as well.

Go in the bathroom. (The smallest in your house with a shower.) Do not turn on the fan.

Turn on the shower. Put the water all the way to "hot".

Sit on the toilet with her (as in, use it for a seat!) while the room fills with steam.

The steam will help break up the mucus so she can breathe.

This happened to my son when he was 2 months -- he got so stuffed he couldn't nurse. A couple minutes in the bathroom with the hot shower, and he could breathe through his nose again.

Also, anything to increase the general humidity in your home will help. (Boil water on the stove, make homemade soup, put cans of water on the radiators, run a humidifier....)

Get a humidifier. If you don't have on then turn on the shower really hot and close the bathroom door so it steams up the room. Sit in the bathroom with her for awhile in the steam.

You need a humidifier to put some moisture in the air.
