I just had my daughter 4 months ago. I was suppose to start the pill but because I am breastfeeding I haven't started it. I have been feeling sick again and I wanted to know can I be pregnant even though I am breastfeeding??

It depends
If you have had sex, then yes you could be pregnant.
If you haven't had sex, then no, you could not be pregnant.

Have you started menstration yet, if yes, than again, good chance of pregnancy.

Alleviate your concerns and go buy the test.

Breast feeding is NOT a form of birth control.I have six children 18 months apart and i got pregnant everytime while breastfeeding. I don't understand why you would think that.I'm not putting you down i just think our doctors need to inform us better. Chances are you are pregnant, even if you have not had your period,it sounds impossible but it's not,i am living proof, People need to know that breastfeeding in no way protects you from getting pregnant. There is a pill for breastfeeding women they call it the mini pill.Just the fact that they made a birth control pill special for breastfeeding moms should be enough to make people realize you can get pregnant while breastfeeding.

You may just be paranoid...after I had my daughter everytime my breast got sore or I got sick at my stomach I thought OH NO! I'm pregnant again and at the time I was also breastfeeding... you could be pregnant if your husband and you have been having unprotected sex...so no problem in getting it checked out but like I said before it could just be that your paranoid and looking for signs

Breastfeeding is a MYTH! Just ask my two daughters that are 10 months and 3 days apart! You can take Errin, it's called the mini pill and won't dry up your milk, as your doctor. Good luck to you!

I took POP (progesterone only pills) while I was breastfeeding. They worked for me. Talk to your doctor about them (assuming you're not pregnant) and remember to take them at the same time everyday (especially important with POP)

I've heard that breastfeeding can make your period a little irregular, so it's possible that you were fertile when you didn't know it, had sex, and now you're pregnant.

I know that my sister and her husband use condoms when they don't want to get pregnant, even though they're married. You could do that.

Yes. Breastfeeding inhibits ovulation, but doesn't prevent it.

It's very unlikely that you have become pregnant again. Brestfeeding of course releases certain hormones and also prevents certain hormones from being released that cause your body to ovulate. Rest easy, its probably just a bug. If all else fails, visit your doctor for a quick blood test.
