I dont think its a bad name...I think its kinda cute..it reminds me of a curly haired, wide eyed little boy getting into messes lol.

Cutter is nice. I've never heard of that before but it's growing on me. Lee is nice but a little simple. Of course with the first name not being very common you'll want a common middle name. How about Cutter James or Cutter Jake? Congrats on the new little one :)

No offense (just trying to give an honest opinion) but the first things that pops into my head with a name like that is some guy driving around in a dirty old pickup truck with a confederate flag in the window on his way to the local clam meeting. I would try and come up with something else besides the fact that other children are going to have a hay day with that one.

I wouldn't use that name on my child.
As others have pointed out, it refers to a mentally ill person who cuts himself. Also, looking "cutter" up in the Oxford English Dictionary, gives some more definitions: A cutthroat; a bully; one who castrates animals; one who cuts up a whale so as to remove the blubber; a small, single-masted vessel.
I wouldn't normally presume to tell soemeone how to name their child, but, since you asked, I think some parents are too selfish when they name their children. They want a name that sounds cool, or means something to them, forgetting that it is their child that has to live with that name. Have you ever heard the song "A boy named Sue", by Jonny Cash?
Just remember, whatever name you pick, your son will be stuck with it for the rest of his life.

Cutter is a horrible name in itself! Or at least in my opinion. You couldnt come up with anything better than Cutter? Think a little deeper....

In my opinion you should never name a child with the last letter of the first name being the first letter of the last name. But that's just me, i.e. Dennis Sholes. To me it just doesn't flow of the tongue like it should. Also remember that any name you want is a good name for YOUR CHILD!!!

i don't like it sounds like a serial killer to me. sorry but cutter? isn't that the disease were people cut themselves and can't really help it?
