Does anyone have any suggestions on anything that I could take to strengthen my cervix cause I had a miscarriage last year due to a weak cervix and I don't want to go to the doctor to get anything because I do not have any insurance.

When you get preg again, they will suture up your cervix, and make a pocket out of it. That will hold the baby in. They will prob put you on bedrest until birth. Go to your local family and children service and they may be able to help you with the medical bills.

This might sound rude but I'm going to tell it like it is. If you are not already pregnant, I would suggest holding off until you are financially able to take care of the medical responsibility of pregnancy and parenting. If you don't have insurance now, how are you going to pay nine months of doctors appointments, laboratory fees, and the delivery? The bills don't end there, your child will need vaccinations, regular doctor and dental appointments. If you cannot afford help trying to conceive, how are you going to afford a child for 18+ years? Just something to consider.

As for strengthening your cervix--you would probably need a doctor's opinion for that. Here is a website telling medical procedure for that. I wish you the best of luck on your endeavors!

If you have the ability for heath insurance and are in a two income household medicaid will not help you--it depends on your wages. Why would you want to cop out on Medicaid? I wouldn't want to (on purpose) get pregnant and use Medicaid just because it is available. As for calling me smart mouthed--read your question. You didn't indicate anything other then the fact that you do not have health insurance. Was I supposed to read your mind and know your whole life story?

Why don't you wait until you are on an insurance policy before getting pregnant? That way you would have no worries.

I don't know of anything that you can do but do you have any free clinics in your neighborhood that you can go to? You don't have to have insurance to go to those places and you even get a discount on your prescriptions. And if you are pregnant now, what is more important to you, the health and well being of your unborn baby or a small price to pay to keep the baby healthy? What ever you can't pay for today, they can always bill you and let you pay later!

the only thing I know that helps an incompetent cervix is putting in a ring of sutures- stitches-a friend of mine had it done- and did very well-and now has a beautiful bouncing baby boy! maybe you can find a clinic that goes on a sliding scale= or maybe you or your spouse can find employement w good insurance benefits- GOod luck-D

I would ask your doctor. I wouldn't try anything without doctor approval.
