I wen t to the Doc., last Wed, and had a pelvic. I started dripping blood, and I know that is normal, but it last for about 17 hours. I woke up on Thrus., with a brownish discharge and I know that is dryed up blood "old Blood" but it started bleeding again and I it had a rose color mucus ring come out. Was that my plug? After awhile it stop bleeding and I started having contractions, 10 minutes apart, then 5 minutes apart. Then it completly stop. My husband and I made love and he came inside me, then once again contractions started, then completely stop. Now today there is a lot of movement from my baby and my belly keeps getting hard then soft hard then soft, like a contraction without the pain. I am 37 weeks and 6 days along. 1cm and -3 e/faced. Am I in labor? or am I jumping the gun. Thanks

I'm a nursing mother and I find it hard to feed my child when out in public. Going out to eat, I have to feed my daughter in the bathroom (gross) or out in the car in order to avoid dirty looks from others. I'm very discreet about nursing so I don't understand how people can see it as 'lewd' or disrespectful. To me, my breasts aren't even sex objects anymore- they're bottles. How can something so natural be so unacceptable to the public?

My daughter got knocked down by running under someone who was swinging, she got a few bumps and scrapes on her forehead, so I put a band aid over it. I didn't realize that I stuck it on part of her hair line that has the tiny little hairs and is sensitive because it's not a lot of hair but just under her natural hair line. I used a heavy duty band aid that is sticking very well, I am wondering is there anything else I can do to get it off besides ripping it off her forhead so it won't hurt. She's only 2 3/4 years old.

i know that i just asked a question but i was also wondering....i have heard from a lot of people that its a good idea to have a glass of wine to try to relax your body to help your cervix dilate and maybe help you get labor going...well i dont have anything but red wine in the house and i cant stand red...i do have a few beers in the fridge that my husband hasnt drank yet...does it make a difference if i had a beer instead of a glass of wine??

Im a police officer, and when I'm in uniform I hear this all the time. Parents should encourage their kids to speak with us and trust us, not be afraid of us.

I know what some of you are going to respond with (Police can't be trusted) and if thats your opnion of all law enforcement, then my guess is your parents told you the same thing when you were a chid.

We are there to help, serve, and protect. So why would you want to buid a distrust in police officers from that early of an age? If your child was lost or hurt would you not want them to feel safe with letting an officer help?

Abortion goes against everything that I was ever taught to believe, and I don't want to go that route.

I'm also afraid that this is going to cause some kind of unresolvable difference between the two of us. I don't want to lose him, but I don't want to kill the baby, either. It didn't do anything wrong...

Help!

I love the following names but would like input so I don't make a mistake.

Alannah- meaning "beautiful, dear child"

Aura- meaning "gentle breeze" or "light"

I am American living in Scotland and intend to move back to the States in a couple years. Alana or Alanna has to me become quite a down-market name over the past few years. So even though to me Alannah is a different name, I am afraid because it sounds the same it will be looked down upon.

I have loved the name Aura for about 15 years since I met a woman by this name who was beautiful, kind & cool and everyone complimented her name and I love the unusual qualtiy of this name. I also love how it sounds like an "old lady" name. It was quite popular in the US in the mid 19th century.

The middle name will be Marie-Elizabeth as this is a combo of both of her grandmother's middle names.

There is no need to be insultingly rude, but please let me know which name you prefer and why. Thanks in advance! :)

i went to the dr today and she stripped my membranes...im 3cm dilated....and i went walking for like 2 hours after at the mall....since i have been home my dog has been up my butt she wont leave my side. she went as far as to climb into the big overstuffed chair i was in and sit with me...which is unusual seeing as how she is a good 80lbs....she isnt a lap dog. she usually doesnt stay so close to me except for before my husband gets home from work and i am in bed or in the morning after he gets out of bed....is it possible she senses that labor is coming better then i do? i know dogs have a sense about things....i know it seems far fetched but is it possible i am going to be going into labor soon and she can sense that??

If she ever reaches an orgasm among other psychological complications she'll have to face. Earlier I asked about the above situation. Her father/my husband & supports this procedure it & according to the Doc who specialized in treating such incidents her mother probably either did it or witnessed it happily b/c they think this makes a girl more marriageable in their anti-female society. I clearly said that her entire clitoris & labia had been removed. I’ve noticed that most of the individuals here that advise me NOT to attempt to get custody of her (based on this barbaric abuse) or who say “it’s best to just let her stay with her own culture” R MALE. What if I were an American male married to a woman from a matriarchal society that advocated cutting off the penis so that no feeling could be attained AND removing the testicles. If I were an American man trying 2 decide what to do about this, wld American men advise me the same way? I think not. What do you think?

I swear! I have to follow him around with a broom and a dustpan! He went from living with his parents to living with me. His mother did everything for him (made his bed, did his laundry, put his clothes away, dressed him until he was 10, made him something to eat whenever he wanted) and now this is my job! As soon as I put all the dishes in the dishwasher, he puts his plate in the sink. When he comes home from work, he takes off his shirt and pants and throws them on the family room table that I just dusted. We have a hamper in our bathroom but he puts his dirty clothes on the floor in the corner of the bathroom. He takes his socks off before bed and leaves them on his nightstand. He flosses his teeth in the shower and leaves the used floss over the shower door. He won’t put these things what they belong! I do! I’ve tried leaving them for as long as I can until I can’t take it anymore. He collects everything! We have hundreds of guitar magazines all throughout the house. He saves shopping bags from his favorite stores. He still has clothes that he had in high school (many years ago). Is there any hope for me? This has been going on for almost 13 years! Now that I’ve vented, I must go remove the giant hairball that he shoved to the corner of the shower.
