i went to the dr today and she stripped my membranes...im 3cm dilated....and i went walking for like 2 hours after at the mall....since i have been home my dog has been up my butt she wont leave my side. she went as far as to climb into the big overstuffed chair i was in and sit with me...which is unusual seeing as how she is a good 80lbs....she isnt a lap dog. she usually doesnt stay so close to me except for before my husband gets home from work and i am in bed or in the morning after he gets out of bed....is it possible she senses that labor is coming better then i do? i know dogs have a sense about things....i know it seems far fetched but is it possible i am going to be going into labor soon and she can sense that??

Yes it is very possible, for some reason pets have a way of sensing things from us. Maybe its a smell or something. Like how it is unexplainable how a dog can smell.sense their owners coming home 30mins b4 getting home (from a reserch). Well Congratualtions on baby!

Yes, I do believe dogs have a sense of knowledge about this error and the other. Your dog probley has a sense that the baby is coming soon. He also understands what you are talking about.

Could be. If there is nothing wrong with the dog & she's perfectly healthy, maybe she can just sense that something is about to change so she's craving all the attention she needs now.

It's highly possible. Animals can "sense" things we sometimes can't. She sees you as the leader of her pack, and she relies on you for care. If she thinks/feels/senses something is wrong with you, it wouldn't be unusual for her to act that way.

I guess I can see how that could be possible. Dogs have really good senses so maybe he knows that baby is on its way.

pets are amazing , the weird thing is i have 3 cats they NEVER come near me ever !! they're weird like that. 3 weeks ago my cats starts loving up to me a lot , and they had only done this before when i was pregnant ( for both children). when i realized my period was late i took a test and sure enough i'm expecting again , i know it's weird but pets know something more than we do i am sure of that. one of my cats sleeps on my stomach , and she had done this for all my pregnancies , it's funny. sorry to tell you my weird a** story but i thought your story was neat !
