I ask this question a lot. Like today, I just came from the corner store. This lady was standing in line behind me with her kid. This kid looked so loveable and innocent but after what he did next, I thought I’d seen the face of the devil. He asked his Mom for some candy. His mom said “No, it’s too early for candy. I’ll buy you some later”. He asked again, his mom said “I told you no before and that’s what I mean”. The next thing I know, the little boy goes into a full out tantrum. I mean crying, screaming at the top of his lungs, rolling on the floor, the works. People were looking at her in the store like “Do something, stupid ***!!“ Finally after 2 minutes of this torture, he calmed down. I paid for my stuff, turned around and told her “Ma’am, that belt you’re wearing still has a lot of power if you use it”.

Granted, some kids don’t need beatings. You can just look at or yell at them a certain way and they’ll do what you say. I know because I was one of them, although I did get a beating on occasion, when it was necessary. But I’m talking about the kids who are CRYING for one, and the parents know they need it, too. Many people in the world got quite of few as kids and they turned out fine. So I ask again: Why are some parents so afraid to beat their kids?

I mean, what is going through their heads when they are doing this double take at a woman who is 9 months pregnant - have they just never seen a woman THAT prego before or what? And why must they have the sound effect that goes with it....'whoaa!'? Or the comments you hear as you walk away...'Did you see that belly? OH MY GOD!'.
Of all the things to flip over - why must it be a woman who is carrying a FREAKING CHILD in her belly? Did you expect it to be this cute petite little thing?

Next month is my son's first birthday and of course he should have his own little cake like every other child on his first birthday but I would like to bake or buy a sugar free cake. Does anyone have any ideas on where to find recepies or if I can actually purchase them without having to bake one myself?

I am just wondering how accurate an ultrasound really is? I got an ultrasound done at 20 weeks and my due date going by what i thought was my last period was january 19, but then after measurements from my ultrasound they moved my due date to January 26 is there anyway an ultrasound could be 4 to 6 weeks ahead?

My adorable 4 mo old boy has developed a flat spot on the back of his head. I started noticing it about 2 weeks ago. I think it began to flatten when he went to daycare last month (who btw, are very good) since they have him on his back for all his naps,and of course he sleeps at night on his back. My husband thought I was making too much of it, but yesterday the first thing the Pediatrician said was "his head is flat". I feel HORRIBLE. Anyone have advice on how-to/how-long it will take to correct this? I've left strict orders for naps to be on his tummy, supervised, b/c at this age he can only do tummy-time for 10-15 minutes before exhausting himself. And what's 15 minutes here and there when babies this age sleep 16hrs a day on their backs?!

i ended my menstrual cycle on saturday and i stopped taking my mini pill birth control on monday. tuesday evening i started to bleed again. is this normal?
it is light bleeding.
i only have been taking these pills for a week.
also once you stop taking them do you ovulate? or what happens?

My daughter is in pre-k this year. She is 4. Keep in mind on a daily basis, she and I struggle everyday for her to listen to me. She is very stubborn, hard headed, and does not listen. Since her class started 2 weeks ago, I have gotten a note home almost every day about this in the class and now I have a phone call. She will NOT listen to the teacher. Have I done something wrong with her? Will she ever grow out of it? Should I just pull her out of school and wait until next year, she really needs the pre-k work though...she won't listen to me to learn the work.

I just found out that a friend/co-worker of mine miscarried. I've never knew anyone before that has miscarried, so I was totally at a lost for words. Okay my daughter is 2.5 years old.We went to the Dr.s on Monday and they are wanting to send her to a Behavorial councelor.I mean she is a little mean hits spits that kind of thing I do not know if it is excessive or just a child being a child ..should I take her and see what he has to say ...There is no signs of ADD or ADHD she does not have a learning disorder......her hearing is fine also so it is not like she is just not hearing things. She does not get a swat for hiting tha does not seem to be the right thing to do hit for hitting.I out her in time out or remove toys or take away her elmo time. Nothing seems to work though .PLEASE HELP

I had one in Dec 05, and they said if the blood is not really heavy that I don't have to go in...(I also did not have health insurance) everything went fine and the bleeding stopped a couple days later...I'm just wondering now because I have been trying again if I could not be getting pregnant because I should have gone for a D&C even though the nurse told me I didnt have to? Anyone have any idea?

Stepdaughter is 11. She’s been told that from now on she’s to get her clothes out the night before school b/c she has difficulties in the mornings like most kids. Last night she was watching a movie when I told her to go get her clothes ready. She argues. I say OK then go to bed right now so you will have time in the AM. She says she'll get her clothes. She pulls out the first thing she sees. A white dress she wore as a flower girl to a wedding. I've been advised by others to not debate with her over clothes/hair choices as she's old enough to decide and face feel the consequences of her choices. I say OK, find the dress shoes. She complains but finds them and resumes watching TV. Next AM she marches past the dress without blinking an eye and goes to find some clothes. She almost missed her bus. I told her that I think she knew she wasn't going to wear that dress and lied to me. She got quiet. How to prevent this behavior in the future please?

Clomid Ovulate Question???
I had an HSG, no blockage. Dr. put me on 50mg of clomid days 3-7. Went in on day 12 for ultrasound. Had 2 follicles, one was 19 and other was 25-31 in size. I was given shot of profosi on friday.. We had intercourse that day, several times on sunday and tuesday.I had some little sharp pains in my lower abdomen, and during intercourse my cervix was very sore feeling. Now it's day 18 any I am wondering when will symptoms start if I am preg? I have been feeling alittle nasea, my lower stomach seems to be alittle bloated and hard feeling too. Don't know if I am just anxious or is this something. When should I test? My cycles were going 23-24 days until last month, it was 29 days.
