Women lose much much much of their looks after they have kids. It's sad. And, it sucks.

I agree. I have two kids and I am now fat and ugly, and I was a model before I had them. I blame this on stress, less money, and kid food. As they get older and more independent, I am slowly regaining my figure and sanity, but it's a slow process, and yes, it sucks.

FYI, I look better now than I did before I had kids.

baby #1, I gained 15 lbs. The baby was almost 12 lbs, and the rest of the baby related weight was more than the other 3 that I gained. I came out of the hospital 10 lbs lighter.

baby #2, I lost 10 lbs. (Don't freak out, I had those pounds to lose and the doc wasn't worried) The baby was almost 8 lbs and with all the other junk, I came out of the hospital 15 lbs lighter than before I was preggo.

baby #3, I gained 20 lbs. The baby was 10 lbs, and with all the other junk, I came out of the hospital 5 lbs lighter.

Now, all that means I am 30 lbs lighter now than I was 8 years ago. And it was kept off. And I'm over 30 with not a single wrinkle, laugh line or gray hair.

Don't generalize like that.

I don't think your argument holds water. My mom's got two grown kids and she's more beautiful than ever even though she's going to be a grandmother soon. The women in our family get even prettier after having kids as a historical rule. I think it's because before we have kids, we're almost all too skinny and have no curves. Afterwards, we have a little bit of hip and chest.

I think it's justt a Mom issue, but a lifestyle choice. You might want to consider that post-pardum depression, b/c it is very common. Some times with the depression comes lack of self-image. Most of the world is over weight; not just mom's being over weight. Obesity is present in all ages, genders, and etc. Just try to be supportive the best you can, everyone needs a loving hand to help guide them to success.

well, junglejoe...
let's enlighten you.
you are making a blanket statement that is not true. in general, americans are fatter. this includes moms and other people. many moms take great care of their bodies, lose the baby weight, and look super. just make sure that you're not the lard@ss hitting on the super hot moms like me when i walk thru the mall or at the park with my kids.

Spoken like a person who has never gone through the experience of pregnancy.

Too broad a statement, my friend. Do a little investigating or try walking a mile in a pregnant woman's shoes before you point out what you consider to be flaws.

Why are dads so much more shallow, insensitive, ***holes than they used to be?

Men get their wives (for better, for worse...richer, poorer...sickness, health) pregnant with the next generation, and suddenly can't be bothered with them anymore because (shocker!) their bellies had to expand to accommodate the child. It's sad. And, it sucks A LOT.
