He's 2 and he just pulled two small plastic cups off the counter (nothing in them), looked at them, looked at me, I looked at him and told him, "Those are dirty, will you please put them back on the counter?" He smiled ear to ear, and threw them across the kitchen, then came up to me and held out his hand for me to smack it......I planned on smacking his hand for doing that but it's like he knew I was going to. Some kids RUN when they know they did something wrong and mom is approaching them saying, "no, you don't throw!"

Then after I smacked his hand, he ran off laughing.

What's your view on this? Or, would a normal, healthy 2 year do this? (Weird!)

My son was born 3-1/2 weeks early. His blood type is A+. He had physiological jaundice and TTN. Also, his bowel movements are infrequent, once every week or 10 days. He is on breast-feeds only.

I am sixteen weeks pregnant. I know I have awhile to go before labor but I am really terrified of it...Is it normal to have some serious anxiety over labor? I mean I am not even that sure what scares me so bad...if its just not knowing or what..I know its gonna hurt and all and I dont really think thats what it is but I dunno.. is it normal to be real scared about it? Does the anxiety go awhile the more the pregnancy progresses? Thanks for your answers in advance. (first pregnancy)

my husband and i had twins may of this year. born full term weighing almost 6lbs each. at 6 days old we found out the girl had a coarctation of the aorta and a ventrical septical defect. at 11 days her bowel ruptured and we almost lost her they had to do emergency surgery and put in a colostomy. she had open heart surgery at almost 3 weeks old, had her bowels repaired about a month ago. is home now and doing great! has anyone else ever been through this w/a baby? we love her and are so thankful that she made it through this and is still here with us.

He goes to bed at 8 every night, awake in his cot, that is fine we go up at 10 normally and he is fast asleep, lovely but by around 3 or 4 in the morning he is wide awake, and bouncing around, we put him in bed with us (i know we shouldn't!!!) but he is absoulutely wide awake, he gets up and goes into my other son's room and tries to wake him up, which is very un-fair because he goes to school, so i end up downstairs with him, it is driving me and my husband insane and i am so tired all the time, any sensible suggestions please help. oh yes and he screams at the top of his lungs when he does wake up!!!!

i have 2 and 1 year old daughters, my neighbor is a single parent in the military, she had to do some training for two weeks, so I have her children, night and day.
They are 4 and 2 year old boys, and i am going CRAZY, the oldest one whines over EVERYTHING. He will say he wants something to eat, then when i make it for him, he will cry cause he doesnt want it, for my own kids if i make it they eat it or they go to bed hungery. Everything is a fight with him. He is pottytrained, but for nap time he wears a pullup, today he came out and proudly annouced that he poo pooed in his pull up. He will constintly lie, and blame anyother child around for something he did.
His brother is 2 and wont talk, or cant talk, all he does is whine and point and scream. If he walks by someone and thinks about it, he decides to hit them in the head, then run off and scream like a girl. My children are so confused and upset, i just dont know what to do! BTW there dad walked out 2 months ago. Any ideas?

Ever since my sister had a baby nearly 2 years ago, I've had baby fever and the majority of my friends have kids. Im only 20 years old so its not like I need to go get pregnant right away. That, and my boyfriend is not so big with the kids menu. I know I want to be with him for the rest of my life, even though we are both at the point where we shouldnt be commited and should be dating, but I just want to have his kids. This isnt exactly a question... but advice is a perk. I try to play with my niece as much as I can, but my work schedule rarely has time to cooridnate with my sis for some play time... I can only live vicariously through my sister so much...

Okay I'm in my room and my 2 1/2 year old son starts screaming for me. When I went in his room he was standing on his bed pointing to the corner saying the blue girl, the blue girl won't go away. What the hell is he talking about? Has this ever happened to anyone. I'm kinda scared!

My husband and I have a 20 month old daughter. We're thinking about trying to get pregnant again around December. Up until now, I was nothing but excited about the thought of having another baby. Now, I've been a little nervous. I've been thinking "Are we really ready for another baby??" When I got pregnant w/ my daughter, the pregnancy was a huge surprise- not planned at all. I think I was in shock for the majority of the pregnancy, so I didn't really worry about what could go wrong. I had a horrible labor that ended in a c-section. I'm a little worried about what could go wrong this time. Is this normal? I'm still excited (call me strange, but I'm even looking forward to getting up in the middle of the night to feed and snuggle with a baby again!) We're more emotionally prepared and financially stable than we were the first time around, but I'm more nervous!! I'm looking forward to the cute maternity clothes they have out now. Any advice/suggestions??
