I have a 7 year old and a 9 month old. they share a bedroom as well. my 7 year old has school at 8 am and goes to bed around 9. If she does not have school the next day, it's 9:30/10:00 (depending if she gets cranky and I tell her it's bedtime). With my little one, she goes to bed anywhere between 10:30 and 12. Sometimes it's earlier or a little later. She would go much earlier, but I keep her up because when you put babies to bed earlier, they wake up earlier in the mornings. She sleeps til 9 or so usually. they should be fine on the schedule they are on.

My daughter who is 8 goes to bed at 9 on school nights and my 12 year old at 10pm. Weekends there is no bedtime but they usually go to bed around 11.
You should start now getting your youngest in bed much earlier to get used to it for next year.

Mine is 2 yrs., lately she has been going to bed by 9pm, but I'd rather get her there at 8:30 at the very latest. If we go visit my parents, like on the weekend, I don't worry about a bedtime too much. During the week she needs one because I work and she has to get up in the morning to go to the sitter's. But at least she can catch up a little with her afternoon nap there if she needs to.
BTW - she's my only one, she has her own room

I have 2 boys, 12 months and a newborn. The 12 month old is usually asleep by 11, there are so many people that live with me that he gets too excited to sleep and obviously the newborn sleeps and wakes up when he wants to. They share a room with me at the moment.

WE are all late sleepers at my house. I have a 4 and a 3 year old and a 9 month old. We all go to bed around 11. And we sleep till 9 or 10. I couldn't sleep which is why i'm up now. My four y/o usually sleeps with me. My husband works nights. She will sleep in her own bed if I tell her, it just doesn't matter to either of us where she sleeps. So sometimes she is up till midnight with me. She has afternoon preschool.

my son is 2yrs old and he is asleep by 9pm but he sleeps usually until 8am sometimes later... I also have custody of my 6yr old nephew who is in bed no later than 8:30pm he doesn't attend school until 9am but he is in bed by 8:30-9:00.
Your daughter is starting school and should be in bed at a descent hour or she won't be able to concentrate at school when she needs to.. try slowly getting her ready for bed at an earlier time because as she gets older it will be harder and school will be starting earlier.
Trust me start now or she won't once she's older....
Weekends I usually let my nephew stay up an hour later, just because it's the weekend but he knows his schedule because I started on it when he was 4 before he went to kindergarten... just keep it up and slowly work her into an earlier bedtime.

Mine are 4 and 1, and they both go to bed at 8, no matter if it's the weekend or not. They don't share a room.

My boys are 3 & 6. They are in seperate rooms. On weeknights they have to be in their rooms at 8pm. While in their rooms they can watch movies, play the PS2, play gameboy, read, anything quiet. Then at 8:30 the 3 yr old has to turn everything off and go to sleep. At 9pm the 6 yr. old has to turn everything off. On Friday and Saturday nights they are free to stay up as late as they want. They are allowed to come downstairs if they feel like it--unless they're being rowdy and obnoxious. They are also allowed to hang out in eachother's rooms. Usually on these nights they fall asleep on my 6 yr. old's bedroom floor while they're watching a movie or playing the PS2.
