My son was born 3-1/2 weeks early. His blood type is A+. He had physiological jaundice and TTN. Also, his bowel movements are infrequent, once every week or 10 days. He is on breast-feeds only.

No I don't think you have to be concerned about the rolling over. Every baby is different and do things at different times.
Don't go by the books.....your baby will do it when he's ready.
My daughter had jaundice also......(I don't know what TTN is)
How many "Wet" Diapers does he have?

you should look into the bowel movements with your doctor.
They should have at least one a day or every other day.....
once a week or 10 days is too long.
Try massaging his tummy for a few minutes a day maybe he's constipated..........or ask your doctor if you can try those suppository things to help him go......
But you should definitely look into that.

A newborn can have as many as eight to ten bowel movements a day, but as long as she is having at least one, she's probably all right. One day without a bowel movement is usually no cause for concern. As long as your baby is feeding well and wetting her diaper five or six times a day, then she's most likely getting enough to eat. If she starts to become uncomfortable or has a persistently swollen abdomen, then she may need some help with pooping, and you should speak to your pediatrician about how to facilitate this.

In the early days, a newborn's bowel movements are thick and dark green in color. This is due to a substance called meconium that has been building up in her intestines during pregnancy. As the baby starts to feed and have bowel movements, she will finish expelling the meconium and her stools will start to turn yellowish. It is not uncommon for an infant's bowel movements to vary in color from day to day. The color of the stools can depend on a variety of things, including what a breastfeeding mom is eating, how hydrated the baby is, and the type and frequency of formula the infant is being fed, if applicable.

This is perfectly normal. I breast-feed and breast-fed babies do not have frequent bowel movements such as formula fed babies. Actually, once a week is perfect. He has not rolled over or moving backwards are fine as well. Every baby grows differently. And especially since he was premature. My brother was the same time premature. He was like a month behind other babies. Sometimes this will show up in school as well. But other times premature babies catch up with everyone. Nothing to worry about though

My son did his frist roll at 3 weeks old, then did further rolls at 9 weeks for about a week. I did not see him roll again well after six months. As you will see from the answers given to you, that no baby is the same, they will roll, crawl, walk, talk get teeth at all different times and do it all differently. Your child is his own self, that's what makes us all each special. I am a little concerned with the lack of bowel movements, and better to be safe than sorry and consult your doctor. Money well spent for peace of mind for your loved one

It's normal honey. Don't worry!

I remember when my daughter was about four months old, and I took her to baby massage classes...it was so frustrating.
There were three other babies at that class, and they were all born at around the same time as my daughter, they were all born within the same week. Any way, it was upsetting for me because those other moms were saying how their babies could roll over and move by themselves- my daughter still just lay there and didn't do anything other than smile, cry and laugh.
But, I learned not to compare them by remembering that all babies are individuals and will do things when they are ready, not when someone dictates that they must.

Your son will be be doing things before you know it, so please try not to worry. And try not to compare his development to others because that will just make you feel bad.

Good luck!
