a good way to reduce spit up is to make sure the baby is getting enough but not to much. spit is associated with an adults type of acid reflux and can be very painful. Try and see how the baby does on a low iron or a soy formula. burp the baby in the middle of the meal, this will help alot. It will reduce the gas and give his/her food more room to digest. Just remember that spitting up is natural though, and you may just have to have a burp cloth on for the next few months. good luck

If the spitting up is due to acid reflux, the best kind is any soy formula. My first had to switch to this after a month as did my second. By the time my third got here we just started off with the soy. It also helps with gas. Try feeding many small "meals" more often because it will also cut down on spitting up.

The spit up might be that the baby is getting too much air. This could be caused by bottle position or speed of consumption. You could also try a soy based formula, in the event that it is a lactose intolerance. (probably not the problem so please dont panic)
