Hi everyone! I am expecting my first baby the end of nov, and of course I'm excited, however my mom asked me for a list of friends to invite to my shower in october, so I gave her a list of my 10 closest friends. She has also made a list of family and friends. The baby shower is going to be huge like 50 people is this normal?? and what should I say to her so I don't hurt her feeling if it is not normal ? thanks for your advise in advance

I have been on the pill ortho tricyclen low since feb. I got sick about a month and a half ago and had diarrhea for about two weeks. I didnt know that could affect the pill so still had unprotected sex. I also do not take it at the same time everyday. I took a hpt and it was negative. Got my period but it lasted only three days which is unusual for me and it was very light and spotted also very unusual for me. I am showing signs of pregnancy but im not sure. Could i be pregnant, what are the chances, what should i do?

I have a 14 month old son who loves nothing more than to get hugs and kisses (although when he gives kisses, they're usually slobbery messes. That's fine with me though--they're still VERY sweet!) and a 2 1/2 year old who wants to do nothing more than run around and play. It's almost like he doesn't have time to give his old Ma a hug and a kiss every once in a while. :) Does this ever come back??

I am torn whether to file child support or not. The reason being that my childs father is not on the birth certificate and he is not a good person. He has done countless wrongs to me but that is besides the point. He doesn't have the best enviroment for our child, he has a clinical disorder abuses drugs and alcohol, he is just basically not mentally stable. The values he states he wants to instill in our child are just horrible. I dont ever want to tell my child I told your father to go away. If I file child support, he will not pay(as he has told me) and he will be given parental rights. How he abuses himself is nothing I can prove in a court. This is making me just sick!! Any rights he gets he will use. Whenever he has taken the baby he comes back with a dirty diaper and upset. I have learned my lesson about judgment in people. I need a second opinion.

I think I might be pregnant again. I feel like I am 3 months pregnant, and it hasn't even been a month yet. Has anyone else had this experience?

I feel too swollen to just have my period, and I have had nausea for the past week, yet my pregnancy tests still come up negative.

My last period started on Aug. 30th. My cycles are irregular sometimes. I took First Response test today and it was negative. Did I test too early? I have been having some lower back and abd pain on and off, breast have been tender and could feel pain shooting through them @ times, have been having some acid reflux plus I have a headaches daily and have not been able to sleep well. I know that some of these things could just be PMS symtoms. AF should show up in about the next week or so if I am on schedule. We just recently started started not using any protection. We are both ready and know that it can take some time. Right now we are if it happens it happens.

My ex went back to her ex with our 3 and 4 year old kids. I was voluntarily sending support and visiting 3 times a year for 2 weeks at a time. (they are 2500 miles away). She stopped all contact and I got served with a petition to adopt from her now once again husband. They are trying to adopt without my consent on the grounds, I havent had contact or sent support for a minimum of one year. This is not true and I have receipts and photos of us. How can cutting me out of my kids lives be whats best for them? And can the kids bond with me without 24 hr/day contact?I am Canadian she is US

my 21 month old boy was playing with his own shadow. he was nocking on the wall and would move up and down along the wall as if trying to fool his own shadow. What is the age when kids find out they have a shadow or even pay any attention at the fact that they have a shadow.

bugaboo strollers or even a brand new SUV to tote the baby around in?
I cant buy any of those things, but want to.
I sometimes get jealous that they have those things.
Like this one lady in Winners, who was buying lots of clothes for her baby and she had an expensive *** stoller!
She was younger than me!
How do these ppl afford it?
When I saw her outside she was driving a newer SUV and I could never afford it!
How do these ppl afford things?

I'm not trying to turn this into a nasty prolife/prochoice debate. What I'm curious about is why do girls/young women think this? When they find out they're pregnant, their first thought is, "I can't have this baby...it'll ruin my life!" (Not ALL of them obviously, but a good many of them.) Why is this? Is this what their teaching in sex-ed these days? Are their parents telling them this? Are they seeing it on TV? How would a 17 or 18 year old girl possibly know how much it costs to raise a baby? How do they KNOW they can't do it until they try? Or until they talk with women who have had babies?

My brother had never married this girl but they have a 2 year old daughter together and she is pregnant with another kid who will be here in a couple weeks (i know he has made some mistakes, but that is not what we are talking about). Do you know of any websites that i can use to see what rights he has with these children. The mother has been on drugs in the recent past and may still be. Neither parent can afford a lawyer or go to court. The dad is deffinitly the more fit parent! He has an older daughter (with another mother) who is 6 that he has custody of. She is doing great with her dad, but would love to have her baby sister around. The mother had taken the 2 year old and hasn't let us see her since last Christmas (maybe a few short occasions after that). Her mom is threatening change her last name and many other things. She has told the government that she doesn't have a job so my brother is paying alot of childsupport. but she has told us that she does have a job.
