Absolutey. The important thing is that you are celebrating it. Shouldn't matter when. They may get more attention this way as well.

I'd say yes because if I had my birthday two days from Christmas, I know people would just give me one present instead of the two I rightfully should get for the two holidays. Not trying to sound greedy but I would consider this a rip-off. Also, since many families go out of town, city, state, or even country to celebrate the holidays with their family your child's party could have very few people there. So, yes it is perfectly acceptable to have your childs party two weeks earlier then the actual day.

NO! Simply have a small family birthday party and make the child feel very special. Then, perhaps in the summer, have a party for everyone. That way you can invite all the kids friends and have wonderful games outside. All people want to be acknowledged that their day of birth was one of the greatest days on earth.

Of course. Have the party when it is convenient for you. Around the holidays it is so difficult, so try to have the party in the begining of the month so people may not be as busy or as broke. I dont know how old your child is, but if he questions the date of the party let him be assured that you will celebrate it again on his actual birthday. Maybe save a present for that day and have a little cake to make the actual day special for him.

Sure why not!!! I've had my son's birthday party anywhere from 2 weeks before to a month and a half afterwards so people could make it. My son's birthday is near the 4th of July making it difficult for people to attend his party.

Besides we celebrate Jesus' birthday on December 25th and there's been evidence that wasn't truly his birthday either. lol...

I think that it is ok. i have the same problem with my son, his bday is dec 23 and it is hard for people to come to a party and also he feels kinda ripped off because people tend to give him one present for his birthday and christmas while his brothers whose bdays arent by christmas get more

Sure, if you want. My son's b-day is on the 29th. I don't plan on combining the two, and in fact, in the future we'll throw New Year's Eve Birthday parties! He gets fireworks on his birthday!!! Whatever you do, make his b-day his special day nomatter who cares to attend or not. It's his day not thier's.

Sure. My birthday falls on Thanksgiving every few years...even as an adult it is a bummer to have people not show up. So IF I have people over to celebrate my b day... I have it early OR late.

Most definitely. This will also help the child's birthday getting lost in the holiday hustle and bustle!
