Pregnancy & Parenting - 25 September 2006

My friend has two young kids. I have none (which is fine by me). We live about 45 minutes away but manage to see each other maybe twice a year. Every time I've seen her since moving back to this area, I've had to come to her house & even tho it's with a plan for lunch we end up doing nothing but entertaining her kids, watching them play, etc.

In the 5 yrs I've lived here, she hasn't come to see my house. Something always comes up. Latest is that she wants to make sure her son can crawl around b/c she can't stand to keep him cooped up. I'm kind of at the end of my rope -- I understand we are different than 10 yrs ago and she has diff. responsibilities as a parent, but I'm tired of being put off even when I come there -- I'm not really there for a visit b/c she's so distracted that it's a pointless visit.
Anything you can suggest I say to her w/out offending her parenting skills?

My eight month old baby started waking up twice during the night and she is very hungry. I went on a trip to europe for two weeks and when we returned she was sick and then after she got better she started waking up at night screaming and we give her a bottle and she eats 6-8 ozs. I am trying to return her to her scheduled feedings of every four hours during the day and then sleep for 10-11 hours. She is only sleeping at 3 hour intervals in the night and then waking for the bottle.

I hear a story on the news the other day about a woman who was killed and her unborn child had been cut out of her womb. I had never heard of such a thing until a few years ago and now it seems like there is one or two of these cases every year! I know it's the medias job to cover such stories are they are of human interest, but are they just giving people ideas? Would these isck individuals really thinks of such things on there own or do they just hear it on the news and think it sounds like a good idea?

I got this off of a web site for pregnancy stretch mark relief....I was just wondering if someone was pulling peoples legs or if you had really heard of this...Thanks in advance. It is a recipe btw.

1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup aloe vera gel
10 vitamin E caplets - prick & drain into mixture
5 vitamin A caplets - prick & drain into mixture
Mix them all together and store them in the refrigerator til cool....then lather over skin.
See....I have NEVER heard of this...what do you guys think?

I mostly spend all my time at home and even after a shower i feel more confortable without a bra.my breasts and my belly are not that big but a lot of people told me to wait until the 8th month and both of them are going to be huge.!!! i wanted to know since most of the time i spend it without a bra, will that affect my breasts in a way after pregnant ? are they going to look flat or ??? thanks

I'm about 6 weeks pregnant. Tonight I am REALLY wanting a shrimp, mushroom, and cheese quessadilla from my favorite Mexican place. Is it ok to eat shrimp and the soft cheese the serve in Mexican restaraunts if it is only once in a while? I know this sounds silly but I don't want to eat it if it is bad for my baby.

ok, on september 12 me and my bf got intimate. and i am on birth contol..but i went out of town the day after and on that friday i skipped a pill and took it on saturday. Now on september 17 i was supposed to start my perod that week, but didnt..and i dont know what to do...cuz i know that if you take an at home test it could be inaccurate cuz it could be too early to take it.

what should i do??

I THOUGHT I WAS PREGNANT AT SOME POINT BECAUSE I MISSED MY PERIOD FOR 3 MONTHS, DURING THIS TIME I WOULD SOMETIMES SPOT, AND I WENT TO THE ZOO, I WALKED A LOT AND IT MY STOMACH STARTED HURTING REALLY BAD. AND RWICE IT JUST STARTED HURTIN WHILE I WAS ASLEEP. I EVEN THOUGHT THAT AT SOME POINT I WAS GOING TO HAVE A MISCARRIAGE BECAUSE I HAD ALL THE SYMPTOMS. MY FRIEND HAD WHEN SHE HAD ONE.
BUT I TOOK A TEST AND IT CAME OUT
NEGATIVE. NOW AFTER I HAVE SEX AND SOMETIMES EVEN DURING IT, IT STARTS HURTING, SOMETIMES IT MADE ME CRY???

she had a spelling test and got none right and my niece studies and everything but she said she can't remember that is why she gets none right. Could there be something wrong that can cause you to study and study but still can't remember how to spell words. She is in 1st grade. The teacher says that she got upset during the spelling test , she is having alot of trouble in school.
Her mom told her tat she got a F on her paper and she was so upset when she was told that and she said she hates spelling test. There is someone working one on one with her. I told her mom she is crying out for help. She had alot of trouble in kindergarten and she is still having alot of trouble and she is in 1st grade.
I love my niece and i want her to get whatever help she can get and i don't like seeing her suffering and having so much of a hard time in school.

Do you have any suggestions and ideas?
Do you think she has any special needs or what?

My son is going to be 6 soon and he calls me daddy and he still baby talks like instead of milk he will say milky. We are concerned our friends boys his age don't talk like that. Is this normal? Im afraid he is going to be made fun of by the other boys.

Ive stopped taking the pill on the 28th August, I spotted lightly for 3 days. I havnt had a period yet. Ive had the pains and cramp but still no sign of my period. Ive done a prego test but it is negitive. Whats going on with my body.
