It's illegal to leave a child unattended in the car no matter the temperature. Trust me, I've seen a woman get arrested for leaving her toddler in the car while running into a store for about 5 minutes.

It is never OK to leave a child in the car. Skip the swimming and take some parenting classes.

You know this is not a very funny question at all - I can see you are meaning it to be a joke obviously so you get heaps of hate answers but My baby grabbed my car keys once when I put her in her seat and by the time I got round to the drivers seat she had locked the doors with the remote - I was in an underground car park and it was only about 20 degrees outside - I rang the shopping centres security who came around and tried to break into my car - they couldnt get in so I called my husband who came down and broke in by destroying one of the front door handles and locks to get in (we didnt want to break a window and risk getting glass on our daughter (by this time she had fallen asleep) when we did finally get her out 20 minutes later she was hot and sweaty and it took longer than it should to wake her up - a very scary time for me and my husband so I dont find your question the slightest bit funny.

What a moron you are. It is illegal to leave a a baby let alone a child in the car alone. Second what would you do if someone happened to walk by and kidnapped your baby idiot! It does not have anything to do with weather at all. Use some common sense.

It is NEVER ok to leave your baby unattended in the car. Get a babysitter (if you can't afford one, try swapping out babysitting with a friend). But NEVER leave a baby in a car or anywhere unattended.

Well, It almost seems pointless since most eveyone has already said it, but NO. Never EVER leave your child unattended. They can get napped, or something else, and 40 degrees can be cold for a baby. Find someone to watch the baby for you if you have things to do you can't include he/she in.

The first person said EXACTLY what I was planning to say. Your baby should never be left alone in a car. Besides the temperature, have you ever thought about how easy it is for an unsupervised baby to get kidnapped?? Please think before you do something stupid concerning your baby!
