Well, it's not a symptom of pregnancy.but ti is fairly common.......it's said that 20% of woman will get a yeast infection during pregnancy. Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting" by Heidi Murkoff. It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.
Good Luck!

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

Not necessarily because the female genitalia is soooo prone to complications at any given time. A female can get a yeast infection from a variety of origins. Such as bubble baths, putting baby powders in your panties, tight clothes, bath clothes with soap not properly rinsed out, dirty towels, contracting it from a partner sexuallly, not changing wet clothing in a timely manner and soo many other reasons. But, if you think that you have a yeast infection, make an appointment with your GYN or PCP to get it checked. To be on the safe side. Because it could be bacterial vaginosis. And over the counter meds won't make it go away.

I don't know that it is an early pregnancy symptom, but I know that women are more prone to yeast infections while being pregnant. You can always call your Doctor and talk with his/her nurse with your questions. I'm sure they would be happy to help you.
