With an unborn baby it is weeks. With a baby that has been born you go by date.

During pregnancy you go by a certain day of the week like every friday it turns a new week because I concieved on a friday.

With a baby you go by a certain day. Example your baby was born on the 5th of the month, well every 5th of the month your baby is a month older.

Basically in a nutshell you go by calender date.

A baby that's already born or still in the womb?

A month during gestation is 4 weeks. The age of a baby who is already born is calulated with the calendar date...like the rest of the world.
