I am 18 years old...A high school graduate, and a college freshmen! I still live with my parents because they say that I can't move out until I finish college; however, they won't allow me to friends houses that live by themselves (hello!!! we're out of high school...isn't that time to move out?), if I go somewhere I have to ask, if I go somewhere at night I have to be home by like 11....WHY ARE THEY BEING SO OVER PROTECTIVE...WHY ARE THEY TREATING ME LIKE I'M 12? I've never been in any trouble, never done anything wrong for them not to trust me...They allowed my older sister to move out at 16 and my older brother came and went as he pleased...I'm not the youngest and I don't know why I'm being treated this way~ HELP!

I have seen so many parents, and grandparents, do this and it really bothers me. I feel like it's really putting a child in danger. I know that the parent is right there with the child and the pedestrians have the right of way, but why risk it? The child should be picked up and carried in these dangerous areas. People are crazy in cars today. I've seen this happen at Target, McDonald's, the mall... those are not safe parking lots. I've almost gotten run over in parking lots and I'm a full grown adult.

We have 2 kids born with a life-threatening genetic condition and would love to have another child without. Chances are 50:50 so have been offered PGD. Unsure about this. Does anyone have experience of this or IVF in general?

I was just wondering why people have such an issue with girls 15+ having children? I have a lot of young mothers as friends and they don't live with their parents or live off the government. I also noticed that young pregnancies are a lot more common and accepted in the south-western states...any opinions on that? I was just very curious because really if it doesn’t affect you why do people care? Why do young mothers get looks as if they have done something incredibly wrong? Why are they taken pity on even if they did want the pregnancy? Why are they considered sluts? And last but not least...why are they automatically considered bad parents?
Thanks for your insight!

My husband and I were trying to get pregnant. I am pretty sure I am fertile. But I wanted that baby so badly. My husband wanted it to. He is handling it very well. But I cry almost every night. It happened about 3 months ago. I don't know how to handle losing my baby. Please tell me how.

I live in a small town. I went to the doctor at 4:30pm with the bleeding. they examined me and the baby was fine . they didn't know where the blood was coming from and my doctor would not come. they sent me home at 8:00pm. I came back at 10:00pm and he still would not come to examine me. He came in at 7:30am to check me and he told me i had dialated 5cm and he could not send me to a better hospital to where my baby could survive. so i gave birth to my baby on 8/31/06 and gave him a funeral on 9/3/06. I feel that if he would have came to the hospital to check on me himself they could have sent me to the better hospital in time. I don't know what to do.

I have noticed there are some single mothers on welfare getting only a couple hundred a month for income.

How can a mother of two support her children on $300-$500 a month?

Also these mothers on yahoo answers don’t work, so they sit at home and have like 6,000 posts on yahoo answers.

If they are on welfare how can they afford the internet and be on it all day?

I am not trying to be a jerk, but I also notice a lot of the single mothers on welfare (on yahoo) are teens.

And I know a lot of single mothers aren’t on welfare, my wife’s mother was a single mother of two at 22 and worked two jobs and never was on government assistance and no child support.

What’s going on here?

Okay so when did all of you experience your pregnant symptoms. Like the morning sickness, Sore breast, etc.
I can’t take a test yet, it would not come up, I’m supposed to start my period on the 12th of this month, and I never get cramps early and they are starting the cramps started up on Saturday (They got bad and now they have some what gone away), about a week ago I got a cold and it will not go away, (I’m going to the doctor’s tomorrow) I don’t want to take any med’s because if I’m having a baby I’m scared to hurt the baby. I’m very tired, and my body feel’s different, when we would of conceived or right around when we would of conceived when making dinner or standing to long I would get really dizzy and feel like I was going to pass out, that has now stop.
I know I ask a lot of question’s on being pregnant, but it is great to be able to ask real people that went or going through the same as me, it's hard when you want something really bad, but I'm glad I can ask all of you!

My wife and I are planning our first child.

We have been together for 5 years, and are financially, mentally and emotionally ready to be parents.

I am looking forward to being a father and I am really excited it is finally happening.

We are going to start trying in January and every month that goes by I get more nervous.

I think when she actually does get pregnant I am going to have a panic attack.

Is it normal to get nervous about being a first time parent?

I feel like I did the first day of high school, excited but kind of scared!
