I think that's fine, as long as he's sleeping well through the night. My son is 15 months old, and he takes one 2 hour nap a day, usually from about 12pm to 2pm. He goes to bed around 8pm. Hope that helps!

Well the question is, is does he go to sleep at a reasonable time for a 1 yr old at night?
Some people say to put a baby to bed by 8-9 at night but I know from when my 6 yr old was a baby, it was easier to get her to bed around 9-10 and she took about a 2 hr nap each day.
It all depends on the lifestyle, how active you are with baby. If you go outside everyday and do things then that is fine, but if the baby is not that active and is taking two naps it is probably because he is bored and lazy.
So keep him active and then he should be ok with 2 naps!

That depends on how well he sleeps at night, how much sleep his body needs, and what goes on the days you don't have him. Routines are important when developing sleep patterns. When he takes a nap, do you have to wake him up, or does he wake up on his own? Does he always sleep, or does he lay there and rest. My daughter would not ever take naps, but she would sleep 12 or 13 hours at night. (one of the benefits of nursing on demand) My sons took 1 nap after lunch for about 3 or 4 hours but they stayed up later at night and were up earlier.

That sounds fine. As long as its a couple hours a day not close to bedtime. My son who's 15 months old takes one nap during the afternoon for 1-3 hours. so it depends on their schedule and how active they are during the day.

You should ask his mother what time he takes his nap because scheduling is everything. 2 naps are fine, my son took a half hour nap at 12pm and 5pm every day. But once they're off their schedule, its very hard for the mother to function if he doesnt keep the schedule she put him on.

I think one hour would be okay two if it is early in the day. Don't let them take a nap too late otherwise they won't go to bed later :)

Two naps, for one hour, per nap, per day. Sounds good to me. You are doing just fine.

Good Luck

Yes, that is OK! Leave him on the schedule he is usually on, it will be better for him and you too! My sons took two naps until they were three and then we went down to one and by five they had none.

my daughter is one and her nap times are always changing, i just lay her down when she seems tired (which in her case, she gets really fussy). if she doesnt seem tired i dont make her take a nap. if i were you i would just let him tell you when he needs a nap, it will be obvious.
