Pregnancy & Parenting - 1 September 2006

I have a 2-1/2 yr old and he is very smart for his age. The only thing is when I ask him to stop doing thing he acts like he never heard me. Even if it is really dangerous. For instance, i told him to stop hitting his brother and he continued to do it ..then i said go ahead hit your brother ..he told me no It hurts.then i said well thank you you. then you know why it 's not nice to hit .then he went over and hit him...??? i'm confused please help

I had my first baby 3 weeks ago. I didn't have an episiotomy, but I had only minor tears on the inside that were stitched up. I think the stitches should be gone by now. My check-up with the doctor is in 10 days. What are your opinions on having sex with my husband tonight?

AND I know about the "wait 4-6 weeks" deal, so don't bother reminding me. Thanks!

I am pretty set on Angelina Lily (both names have family meaning)...we are actually already calling her "Lina" for short... but Lily has become so popular lately I was thinking of being less trendy and maybe going with Kristine or just plain Rose...

why are all us teens like 13 14 and 15 having sex? SHOULDETN WE BE HAVING FUN AND NO NOT IN A BED! Our first daughter's name is Leilani(lay la nee) which means a heavenly child...and her middle name is bernice(named after my mother). with our second girl my husband wants her to have his mother's middle name which is marie. so i was thinking of Savannah Marie...what do you think of this???

My doctor is on vacation so I can't call him until next week. I'm 34wks prego today and for the past week I've had less of an appetite for some reason. I don't know if it was due to hormones that are causing some depression in me. A few ago I HAD to have breakfast but lately I've been skipping breakfast and not eating until after noon. Or sometimes I'll skip dinner. Anyone ever had this happen to them? You would think that at 34 wks I would be eating everything in sight?

she is 3 and hard headed. if you tell her no she pushes your buttons. she is so stubborn i find myself yelling at her. I put her in time out before i yell any more.
any thoughts on how to make her feel like she is in charge of the situation but i am really doing reverse phsycology?

When I turned 13 I was sidetracked, bad crowd. A night I got home a bit drunk. Dad got angry and spanked me. And I was grounded for a month. Today, 7 months later, I'm the kind of daughter every parent would be proud of, in my parents opinion. My grades are excellent, I have good friends and even take part in some social activities. But I've never got over what dad did to me, what I see as a simple violence. And completely unnecessary, since I was grounded anyway. Since that day I've spoken to dad only what is strictly necessary. My mom helped me when I was grounded, helped me change, but I resent she supports my dad and says he loves me and spanked out of love. Impossible.Now my parents are upset w/ my resentful behavior,But I dont get in trouble, hardly talk to them and I'm polite though distant. I dont bother them, when I need advice I go to someone else.They want me to act like their daughter.That`s hurting me emotionally. Y dont they leave me alone? Want to punish me again?

I have tried and tried, but whenever I bring up something she had done the made me upset she attacks me! Then she brings up stuff like, "I do too support you! I took you to that Cross Country Meet!" Then thats usually followed by an insult. She only does Motherly things so I can't say she completley sucks. She never respects me and her to I'm just her annoying son. She invades my privacy and all she ever does is insult me! She'll insult me over stupid stuff like me recieving a phone call and me not knowing the caller. I'm tired of being her mistake. How can I talk to my mom about the way i feel or how can I get her to respect me a little more?

On the first date, do you bring anything? I think if a guy brought me a flower. Just one single wild flower, maybe wilted slightly because he was grasping it so much under nervousness, I would like that. I would put it behind my ear, to show the affection. That would be romantic.
