Pregnancy & Parenting - 1 September 2006

Am due on the 4th of this month and am worried i wont deliver on time. I dont want to go through labor inducing.
Is there a way you can find out if ur dialting without a dr.? Is there any way to know approximately how much you're dilated?
I know its different for everyone, but does labor start suddenly or is it gradual?
Any other information is welcome!

My kids school in Texas does. Of course they ask the parents permission first. My school growing up spanked. Just seeing that big wooden paddle was enough to keep me in line, and of course the embarrassment of being spanked at school. I am just curious to know how many other school systems still allow this.

I feel like time is running out and I still haven't decided on baby names. I have some picked out but can't decide. I wanted to be original, or at least not have names like Jenny and Michael. Nice but overused. I have Camryn Elizabeth for a girl and Hayden Alexander for a boy. I like the names but am aware that the middle names are pretty common. Any advice or suggestions for something different? Or if you like them, I'd feel better knowing that, too. Thank you!

For me it was until 14 but I was occasionally "threatened" with them until 16. How embarrassed I was at 12,13,14 when my older brother and sister would tell the neighborhood girls and girls at school that I still got spanked!

I mid 30s now...is it really true people don't spank much any more?....that must be an interesting way to get raised....no concept of limits, authority or anything.

I'm concerned only becuz i resumed my periods about 3 months after I gave birth...this began in dec....now april of this year rolled around & i haven't gotten my period since then...I took a pregnacy test which showed positive...however ive had no symptoms...now im not an idiot this would be my third kid....im just concerned that maybe it might be something else....anybody with any situation similar plz help???

My step-daughter is 9, she is in the 4th grade and has been bullying other kids at school!! What are some good ideas to get her to stop being a bully and be considerate of other people's feelings???

**my sd is a very difficult child...she is very book smart, but not so much with common sense.**
**She has alot of anger management problems and disciplining her is very difficult.**
**Nothing seems to get threw to her....
We Have Tried-----
1 Talking to her
2 Time out
3 Corner time
4 Grounding
5 Writing lines
6 Taking her privalages away
7 Taking her belongings away
8 Spanking (last resort)
................NONE OF THIS STUFF WORKS!!!
