There's something called "rhinitis of pregnancy". I don't know when it first comes on, though.

Basically, when you're pregnant pretty much any bizarre symptom you can think of can be a side effect of pregnancy. LOL.

I started having allergy problems when I was pregnant with my 1st. Pretty much only had problems during pregnancy and then for the first year afterwards so it could be part of the symptoms for you. I know it sucks too since you can't take all the medicine you really need.

I did get a little congested when I found out I was pregnant. Not sure what the reason is though. The only thing you can really use is saline solution to rinse nose.

I've been pregnant, not preggers, 4x's. I never had any thing like what you're describing. I'd say you just have a cold, or, allergies. Enjoy the pregnancy, and, Congratulations ~

You do get more congested..it has to do with the increased blood flow I think your blood volume almost doubles during pregnancy but I think it is a symptom that starts in the second trimester (for most) but I am not sure because I am still in my first.....its just what the books say.

I read somewhere that in pregnancy you can experiance problems with congestion because the mucus membranes in our nose are enlarged. You might want to look it up in a book like What to Expect When You're Expecting.

I had the same thing happen to me and I read every preg.book there is and this is normal. The doctor told me it is okay to take nyquil or dayquil to make you feel better.
