If you still have it in you to be sexually active and you are a healthy male ( as stated by your doctor!) then why not. Besides, I keep hearing that sex is better at that age anyway, so if you both want to do it, JUST DO IT! Remember that you will have to take heat from tons of people who have nothing else to do but to criticize you for your decision, but just brush you shoulders off and make that baby out of love. That is all that matters. Age aint nothing but a number. Some of you old guys out there are healthier than these younger guys anyways. So stop reading these answers, go Rock her boat and make that baby like right now! My friend's dad is an old guy and she is absolutely perfect and beautiful in every way just like her sexy ol daddy.

I’m sure it would be save
Grant you may want to think of other things at 60 do you feel you’d have the energy for a child? My Aunt and her husband adopted a baby 3 years ago, she was 48 at the time and sometimes feels too old. Also realize that you might die before your child turns 18, maybe way before that. Your 60, I think average life expectancy for a man is what late 60 to mid 70’s that’s not to say you wouldn’t live to see 100.
There are plenty of older fathers, Donald Trump he in his 60’s isn’t he and he just had a baby boy. David Letterman isn’t young and he has a 2 or 3 year old son. There are becoming more and more older parents.

I think if your physically ready then go for it. But just remember that babies are nonstop. So no more movie nights, going out to restaurants (with baby is just too much, warming bottles, nursing, changing diapers, etc.) and if you feel you can afford to lose at least 5 to 8 yrs of your life then go for it. The reason why I say 5-8yrs is because that's how long kids will stay stuck to you for their needs, when they start to turn 9 and up they start to want their freedom and privacy to do the things they want with friends and such. And don't forget the financial costs, clothes, the latest trend that they will ask you to get for them (skate shoes "heelys", cell phones, etc.) and then there's braces, glasses, private school if you can afford it or want it, braces and the most important, when you're 78-83 yrs old will you be able to help pay for college if he or she wants to go? Just some thoughts. Good Luck either way, enjoy !

I agree with Jess.
You must have a lot of energy to be considering on having a child that needs running after for the first five years.
It wouldn't be me. I'm looking forward to having my 2 girls move out by the time I'm 50. Then I look forward to having the grandkids come for visits. : ) I just hope I have energy enough at that point.
: ) Prayers ( :

I love the way some of the babies on this site think that life ends at 21!!
Sperms aren't like eggs, we produce them fresh every day.
I would ask you to talk to your doctor though about your realistic life expectancy. My dad died when I was 12. I'm not saying I wish I hadn't been born, but it made things difficult.

Go ahead, I read recently that 60 is the new 45,so as long as your doctor says ok, go at it. Can't say you'd be an immature parent as are many out there.

Go for it..Age does not guarantee longevity.. my father was 41 when he died. Only women need be concerned about the health of their eggs.. Men can conceivably conceive a child as long as they can ejaculate. Women are born with all of the eggs they are ever gonna have..men just make new ones.

My Grandfather was 65 years old when my mom was born in 1940. So yeah you can. But, do you think it is fair to the child? My mom's dad was always mistaken for her Grandpa. And he died before she became an adult!

Only if it would be your first child. If you have adult children, its terrible. If my father ever did that to me I would never talk to him again.
