Pregnancy & Parenting - 1 September 2006

Well, I took 2 URINE tests at the clinic, one last week and then one this week they both came out negative but I still think I'm pregnant, I haven't been feeling myself and I've been feeling extremely sick, the nausea started when I was supposed to get my period which was yesterday, I've been showing no signs of getting it, just feeling really sick. I've been also cramping but not period cramps and having lower back pain and for some reason cold symptoms when I haven't been around people that have been sick. Could I be pregnant and should I get a blood pregnancy test just to be sure?

I have mentioned this to her pediatrician, her physical therapist, and the occupational therapist at the NICU follow-up appointments. They don't seem overly concerned and tell me to "keep trying." It's frustrating as my daughter is almost 25 pounds and is too heavy to hold all the time to give her a bottle. I try to get her hands on the bottle, but she pulls away. She would rather have her hands out to her sides or stroking my face as she drinks. She's just starting to pull herself up, thank goodness, as she, too, is getting very heavy to lift all the time!

Any suggestions on holding the bottle?? What about a two handled sippie cup?? Should I start and see if she will hold the sippie cup instead?

Okay, well when I get up in the morning I can barely walk down the stairs because I am dizzy and I hae a lot of discharge. I'm not PMS'ing and I haven't had sex in nine months because of my twins. What could it be?

I was just curious. It may sound mean or whatever, but I took my two girls off the bottle at 9 months old. They had sippy's with the line that shows the ounces, so they still got formula. and it did not upset them, and they took to it with no problems. I have seen 3 year olds with bottles in their mouths, and I do not agree with it. But as the saying goes.....different strokes, for different folks.

I have been drinking milk, taking my prenatal vits, eating bananas, all of that. This is my 2nd pregnancy, and I know I didn't have anything like this my first one. I have had a leg cramp for the last 2 days now. I don't know what else to try to get it to stop. Anyone have any suggestions?

My girl doest sit in one place a very active girl and as i m all alone to look after her it makes situation out of control and then it ends up in a slap or push. After i realize that i have done wrong i take her in my arms and showers hugs and kisses on her. And she forgets(i think so). I am afraid that i am doing someting terribaly wrong with her mental development. And she is 9.2 kg for last 4 months. What to do. Help!!!!

I have a sister and sister-in-law who have at some point use hot sauce to control their childrens behavior. I have a 16 mo old and would never dream if it. I know it can some times be hard but, I have noticed that they are not very consistent, they do not use eye contact, and most attempts to discipline are threats. Further more I always hear my sister use the same squeaky voice she uses to praise and play to discipline. How do you feel about this method of discipline (ages range from 6-3)? I think it is crazy and cruel and, the child will at some point just get used to it.

My wife and I are planning to conceive soon.

This will be the first grandbaby and great grandbaby for both sides of the family.

My wife still has three grandparents alive who live several states away.

We won't be seeing them in person.

How should we tell them my wife is expecting?

Should we call and then send a card with a sonogram picture?

Should we just send a card with a sonogram picture?

Should we tell my wife's parents and let them call the grandparents while we are with them?

How is this suppose to work?

i want my mom and i to be like best friends but she only wants to spend time with her boyfriend and we barely talk. how can i get my mom to show me that she loves me and spend time with me?
my mom is not those kind of moms that u can talk to. she is different. it sucks having a mom thats only 31. and she says that she wants to spend more time with my cousin so they can BOND and that makes me more sad that she doesnt want to spend time with me. =`(
i understand that she doesnt want to die without getting married and she wants to have another kid but i just feel alone. so most of the time wen im sad i talk to my friends cuz i know they understand me. all the time i feel like she doesnt want me and that im a mistake

I am getting my 15 months son his first pillow. I was thinking about getting him a travel size one, which is 12.5" X 16". Would that be good untill he's 5 or older, or should I just get him a regular size pillow with a lite filling, which is 20" X 25"?

About 4 years ago, I became pregnant, and had to terminate the pregnancy due to serious medical circumstances. Now before you all judge me based on this, I really did not have a choice according to doctors. I think abortion is a terrible, horrid murderous thing, and I feel SO incredibly guilty. So please, please no hurtful remarks, I feel bad enough as it is. I know what I did was wrong, and if given the chance again, I would have let the baby lived and died myself. I was 18 alone, and scared and was being told that if I continued the pregnancy, the baby would be born without being able to walk,talk,or live a normal life. So I did what I THOUGHT was right. Anyway, I am still producing breast milk, how long does your body usually produce milk after pregnancy? Once again, helpful answers only,please. Thank you and God bless.

This guy liked begged me all summer to volunteer at the public pool where he worked all summer but i couldnt because i had another volunteer job, that job ended with a week left to go at the pool so i volunteered for a week at the pool and it was soo much fun. Anyway he kept asking me to come in early and stay late to keep him company because most of the time it was just him this other girl guard and this other guy guard who always tormented him but i got along with them. So the whole week when he and i were both in the water for lessons but like his private lesson wasnt there yet and i was waiting for the safety speech to be over we would be talking and out of no where he would splash me, then i would splash him, and soon enough we would both cracking up. Also yesterday me and him were together from like 11:30 AM until about 9 PM throughout the course of the day he put his arms around me or touched me in some way so many times.

he is 17 and i am 15

Let me start out by saying that if I don't start by the 5th I will be taking a test. I am due for my period around the 3rd and 7 days post ovulation, I experienced bad cramps (which is not usual for me). I had these cramps for 2 days, then they just went away. I am TTC but what I am asking is if anyone has experienced the same thing and if you were pregnant or if you think it was something else. thanks
