Pregnancy & Parenting - 1 September 2006

I have two boys, Alex is 6 years old and Nathan is 3. Alex seems to have a jealousy problem, when I am holding Nathan he gets mad that I'm not holding him instead. Nathan gets jealous of Alex sometimes and they pick on each other quite a bit.

Now I know it's normal to have some rivalry between siblings, but I love both boys equally and do not prefer one child over the other. I just don't want either one of them to feel inadequate; I hold both of them and pay attention to them as equally as possible. But Alex still gets mad if I so much as hold Nathan in the rocking chair even if I was just holding Alex 5 minutes before that. Any suggestions to help them to both feel better?

i have been calling my ex. bf less and less since we broke up in april. normally he is quiet nice to me recently though he seemed stressed and annoyed yesterday i called to ask for directions to our college because we are both going to same one and i was lost. i text him to say thank you and to give me a call sometime ie. as friends. today i get a hey cutie text from him and a what you doing i said i was up to nothing. then i get asked few minutes later if this is ..... and i said yes then this girl claims to be his girlfriend goes off on me saying she told me not too text him and that he is no longer intrested in me. then claims he has been sick all day and with her and that i am lying about the text messages.

She has been doing htis since she was 2mts old. There isn't a week when she will go by without throwing up atleast once
The ped suggested taking her to a gastrointerologist
But going to a gi is tooo invasive
I don't have the heart to do that
She has mild reflux and is on medication for that
Anybody in the same shoes?

We have been trying for a kid and have been trying after 10 - 15 days after my periods. For past 3-4 days, i feel a cramp or my tummy (below stomach) hurting. It isn't paining an awful lot, but feel quite different. I have it while sleeping too. Could i be pregnant? Pls help. Ok I don't have any kids nad have never been in this postion but I've have been reading a lot of these questions on here and I don't get it. There are so many men that just walk away from their children and leave them for the mothers to fend for. WHY? How can they walk away and not care? I kinda get how they can walk away while she is pregnant because he has never met the child and doesn't have a real bond. But how can her hold the child and raise it (whether it be days, weeks, months, years) then walk away like the child doesnt exist and no longer care about it? Is there more behind the story that the mothers aren't saying. Did they say or do something that might add (not cause) but add to why the father left?

If you all could please give me more descriptive answers then just he is a dead beat or an *** I would appreciate it. I am really interested in this physcology of the mans mind

Im 8months 1 1/2 weeks along and am confused i thought that i could handle this but now im fealing as though im not ready to be a mom im not married im not done with my college and the baby's dad is not around i see him as only a donor! i drove out to his house the other night to have a talk with him face to face *i thought that would make him face reality* we were suppose to be married before we found out about baby but were savin money then we found out we were expecting he was very excited i was very scared and he proposed and said we need to get married sooner since were havin a kid then out of the blue im not atractive and he left me for this other girl he wont call or anything and when i went out there he wouldnt look at me and wouldnt talk to me i dont understand i was hopin he'd come around and be active in his sons life what do i do? our relationship was perfect then out of the blue it all went down hill im scared i miss him i need him and love him and want him around! help...

I have an appointment for a pap next Friday and I was wondering if anyone knew how much those usually are. A ballpark figure. I am married and my husband is in the military so I know I have good medical, but my doctor's office isn't on the tricare list. my 5 yr old is having trouble-or im having trouble getting him off to school.

My daughter will be 15 soon and some of her friends are 16 & older. Quite a few of them already have their own cars. This baffles me. My parents did not buy me a car. I didn't have a car until I got grown and bought my own. But that was then and this is now. I had planned on trying to get her a car for her 18th birthday but should I be trying to do that sooner? I'm a single mother and a car is a big expense plus I am not sure that I will be ready to turn her loose on the road when she gets 16. I just don't want her to be feeling underprivileged nor do I want her to have a false sense of entitlement. Give me some real advice here please. Thanks!
