I have an appointment for a pap next Friday and I was wondering if anyone knew how much those usually are. A ballpark figure. I am married and my husband is in the military so I know I have good medical, but my doctor's office isn't on the tricare list. BUT my doc office said that they DO TAKE tricare, so I was wondering if anyone else has gone through this situation and do you know if there is a deductible I will have to pay when I go. THANKS!

If you happen to know the number to Tricare, I would love to know it.

if he takes tricare then dont worry about it. you may need a referral though. tricare usually only covers outside doctors with a referral only. contact your doctor and get one before you go to the appointment.

I don't know the number to tricare, but call your dr office and ask for the number, or look on the back of your card, as it should be there. Call your dr office and ask what the allowable is for the visit, and for the labs. They legally can't charge you any more than what the allowable is. (and it's usually quite a bit lower than the billed amount).

The may run about 75 dollars and more for the test. Sorry to tell you this but theirs a chance your visit won't be covered unless you live 50 miles away from any hospital that does. Even then you have to get permission from the tricare line. give them a call it's toll free. Which may mean your visit may also be free. E mail me back if you need any more info.

i have tricare and I went to a doctor that wasn't on the list and they told me they took tricare too and i ended up having to pay so much money. i would not recommend going to a doctor that's not on the list. Good luck

Call the ins company. Could be that yur Dr is a newly added provider , so he wouldnt be on the printed list or booklet you get... but he will be in the system and the ins co will be able to verify this for you.
