I think that it is just to put it out there and let everyone know that they are either gay or lesbian just so there is no questions to answer later. If anything I would think that it could be more informative for the non gays to know that that person in fact gay or lesbian, and if that is a problem for you then just stay away. You obviously don't have to like or agree with their sexual orientation, but you need to have the tolerance to at least accept it.

A lot of people are not afraid to admit that they are bisexual anymore, and I think it's a good thing that they can confidently say so without having someone put them down. I am not a bisexual, so I can't say how it must feel to be suppressed and not be able to say anything just because people would hate the way I feel, but I can understand a bit of that. If that's what makes them happy, that's all that really matters.

Now as far as swingers go.... isn't that where a couple goes to a party, bar etc and "switches partners" with another couple? I think that's a bit odd, and certainly not my taste.

Basically it's a filler to fill the empty void of wanting to indentify with something. Sure people may do as they may..... but doing such is no replacement for just being a whole person who enjoys all of life and love. A whole person does not need a label. That's ok though as those who are whatever just know this and the rest are just weak and will not have a centered life.

I think people who ask questions like this should be ashamed. People should learn to be more open-minded about things. Just because someone is different or does something differently from the norm, it doesn't make them wrong or as you put it "sick"!!!

Being homosexual is not something that one chooses. It is just the way that the person is. Gay people often find themselved isolated and victimized by heterosexuals, either verbally (as in your question) or physically. The visible presence of other gay people who are not ashamed of who they are helps gay people to feel less isolated, and helps to promote their mental health.

Your self pride in and of itself is a sin and, to my understanding, the Bible teaches that no sin is greater than another. Therefore, you are just as much of a disgrace as you think homosexuals are.

I'm heterosexual, but being gay or lesbian is nothing to be ashamed of. Either your straight or your not. It's not something, I feel, that you can talk yourself out of. Would you want to try to be with the same sex when you know that you are not gay or lesbian? It's the same for them...they shouldn't be forced to be with the opposite sex if it's just not what they feel is right.

Why should they stop putting their status on their profile to keep from offending people like you??? If you were truly offended by it, you would not look at it. Get a life....... not everything goes according to how you want it.
