Get your IVF-invitro fertilization treatment in India .IVF treatment ,IUI,ICSI and Laparoscopic surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges all types of medical treatment andsurgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as some of the surgery including ivf treatment is not covered by insurance.
They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your IVF treatment can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The doctors are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.I recently also read about a chinese couple facilitated by forerunners healthcare were able to get their baby by IVF and a surrogate mother.
my cousin and her husband got their IVF treatment in India through the forerunners healthcare in India and is all praise for this company. She is a known case of PCOS.She is a very happy mother of a baby boy now. She just paid 2500 pounds for the full treatment for which she was quoted 8000 pounds in private setup in UK.I strongly recommend this company to you as they can be of great help to you.hope this helps

well she has a lot of factors going against her right now.
-age
-diabetes
-tubal blockage
and the trials that can go along with just being pregnant
You need to weigh the pros and cons here, as I understand you would like to have a child, but have you discussed with the doctor the risks of her getting pregnant at the age of 54, with diabetes. Women that get pregnant over the age of 35 have a greater risk of having a child with downs syndrome, or other birth defects.
I would suggest adoption, I know that might be what you want, but just think how special you are going to make a child feel when you give them all of the love that you have.
Good luck and best wishes to you and your wife, and congratulations on taking this HUGE step in life

Try the same thing that Donald Trump and Larry King (and Scotty from Star Trek - James Doohan) did...
Dump your wife, find a blonde bimbo who's 29 and holding. A good hairpiece would probably help there...
Seriously, I think you're SOL. If you can afford the medical treatments for IVF on a 54-yo, you can afford a surrogate or a blonde trophy wife. If you're going for the surrogate on the cheap, be sure to tell her and your wife "but everyone knows those turkey basters don't really work..."

At the age of 54 she is probably in menopause and I don't know of many doctors in the US that will treat her with enough hormones to do IVF and carry a child to term and with diabetes, she would be more than crazy to try, considering the strain on her body of being pregnant while diabetic. If you have enough money you might be able to find a surrogate or try adopting.

As we (women) age our chances of getting pregnant, and carrying it to full term reduce drastically with almost each passing year. I don't want to dash your hopes of having children, but your wife is only three years older than my mother (I'm 28) and my mom's going through menopause right now. If IVF hasn't worked, you might have to face that having children at her age isn't going to happen. You could try a surrogate, or look into adoption. There are TONS of kids out there that are in need of good homes and lots of love. And just think, you can pick which you want, a boy or a girl! Good luck to you both. =)

Have you looked into all the possible complications associated with a woman having a baby this late in life? Neural tube defects, Down Syndrome, etc...? YOur child will be in a very high risk category for these type of problems. Also consider your ages. Will you be around for the child's entire childhood? It also doesn't sound like it would be very safe for your wife to have another baby right now. I understand your desire, but I would seriously consider all of the risks involved.

why you are expecting in this age it is not healthy also, enjoy both.Still you want children in this age? adopt one. But my suggestion is that you live for each other. This is not the time to brought up the children, because you both don't have that much of Patience.Engage you both in some social work.

Adopt or surrogate. A pregnancy would jeopardize your wife's health.

At her age and with diabetes makes me wonder WHY her doctor would allow her to attempt to have more children.
