Why is it so hard to just answer the question?... I am 31 yrs old, not a child! Just was your 2nd baby late or early? Geez!

Don't be in such a rush. Your baby needs as much time in the womb as possible to get strong and healthy. Try to enjoy your pregnancy and get some extra rest. Keep busy preparing your first born with the arrival of the new baby. This is your last 9 weeks alone with your first.

P.S. My first was born three weeks after my supposed due date and the second was born one week after my due date.

my first was 2 weeks late, my second was 1 week late and my third was 6 1/2 weeks early. My doctor said the second one might come early by a few days but that was more a myth however the delivery with each child usually got shorter. Good luck and I do feel for you being this far along in the dead of summer.

I'm 35wks now and a first time mom... but I can give you the stats on a few female relatives (trust me, I've asked) :)

Rel#1
1 - 37wks
2 - 40wks
3 - 41wks

Rel#2
1 - 37wks
2 - 38wks

Now on the average 2nd+ pregnancy, I've heard you are more likely to go early in comparison with FTM's... but then again you can see how accurate the norm is above with my two examples.

My friends started a baby pool just for this purpose, helps to keep me light hearted when I'm sick of the runs to L&D, the pre-term labor risk I went through earlier in the pregnancy (almost clear of that now just 2 more weeks!), and now my aching back.

Good luck!

Baby 1 Due 1/6 came 1/3 healthy 7-6
Baby 2 Due 11/21 came 11/21 healthy 6-6
Baby 3 Due 2/21 came 2/17 healthy 7-6
So they were all on time.

1st delivered at 37 weeks
2nd(twins) delivered w/preterm labor at 33 weeks,
You dont want to deliver this early, the NICU isa frightening and heartbreaking place to have your baby in. Don't get me wrong, exceptional care for the baby, but my boys spent 2-3 weeks in there and it was so devastating to not be able to do more for them and watch them struggle.

I had my 2nd baby exactly 280 days after she was conceived.
That is 40 weeks.
