It is best to wait until your doctor ok's it. Just because your feeling good and you think your stitches are fine, doesn't mean that they are. Having sex to soon after birth can cause infections if your body has not healed all the way.
Your insides have not all gone back into place yet after being all mangled up with pregnancy.
You could possibly do more harm then good.
Just be patient and wait until the doc gives his/her ok.
There are other ways of being sexually satisfied other then intercourse. I think you should stick to those for the time being.

I had sex with my husband for the first time 4 weeks after our daughter was born. It hurt I cried a lot, he pulled out, held me, then we waited another month to try again. Just like you I had her vaginally, with only one small tear and no episiotomy. I would say wait until you think you can do it with out it hurting really bad! My friend just got here and her and her husband waited 10 weeks and it still hurt the first time after baby was born. So I guess you are in for some hurting either way!

OK i had an episiotomy with both of mine front to back!! Your advised to wait 6 wks only because you may rip out the stiches and the equipment is trying to get back to shape. My suggestion is if you feel like you can, DO IT, but if it hurt which it will!!!!!!! Dont force it you'll put yourself at risk of doing damage. I waited at least 4 wks then tried, both time i couldnt handle the pain but after trying a few night in a row it finally worked. Goodluck!!

they tell you to wait the 4 to 6 weeks so that the cervix has time to close. after child birth the cervix can stay dialated for up to 6 weeks. if you have sex before then there is a chance of getting an infection. if you don't know why a doctor tells you something, ask!!!!

You're supposed to wait 6 weeks because your body has gone through a big change.
But if you already know this why bother asking....do whatever.

I'd say wait a while longer, it may feel good for a few minutes but it will hurt a lot afterwards.

Why not give your husband a real treat and let him go behind It will feel much younger to him than anything that may have been stretched during childbirth

it could go either way i think if you don't want to be in pain or tear again then you should wait but if u just cant then go a head & do it just make sure u & him both take it easy!!.....have fun!!!!
