I am in the same boat. Couldn't eat enough in the beginning, but now I just want a little juice now and then. Been skipping meals too, and don't even realize I have done it. It probably has to do with the baby taking up so much space. The baby is taking up all of the space where food used to go, and is probably tricking the brain into thinking you are already full. Don't freak out.

because that baby is huge by now, and if you're like me when I was pregnant, everything is so squished in there you have no room in that belly of yours! Has the baby dropped yet?( Lightening, when it descends into your pelvis.) You will probably know when it does, because it gets easier to breathe and you may feel more pressure in your pelvis. Then maybe you will have some room for food. But if you don't, don't worry. I had a big baby, over 8 lbs. Not very fun. Its probably better if you are not eating everything in sight. Trust me on this.

Just make sure that when you are eating, you are eating extremely healthy. If this is your only symptom and has only been going on for a week, I wouldn't worry too much. When your doctor is back, give him a call and he can tell you what to do. Of course, if you get any other symptoms, call his service. He must have someone taking his calls.

The last 3 to 4 weeks of both my pregnancies I had a big drop in appetite. As long as your baby is still growing and gaining weight I wouldn't worry about it.

Actually no you wouldn't be eatting everything in sight. As your uterus gets bigger it squishes your stomach more and more and you don't really have room to eat as much. You eat a little and are full. You may get indigestion or heartburn much easier. And trust me it only gets worse until the baby drops and releaves some of that pressure.

This is a wild guess, so ignore me and listen to your doctor. But I'm thinking that whatever you tend to eat when you force yourself to eat something might be what your body needs, and that's why your appetite is low. Maybe you tend to eat better when you are not hungry. As long as you have energy, and do your best to eat something, you're ok.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with you. Your appitite may be different and just because you are pregnant doesn't mean you have to eat more. It is a good idea to call the doctor when he is back from vaction but I think you are fine. Good Luck with the Baby!

This happens at the end of the third trimester for some women.I even lost weight at 37 weeks. My appetite was poor.Mostly because it felt like there was'nt any room for food.

My mom didn't eat too much for the first few days; but after whenever she was hungry she ate. I think you might want to talk to another doctor or a nurse about that because if the baby isn't getting enough nurishment it's bad for you and your unborn child! :(

A doctor you cant talk to?Id be seriously thinking about who I trusted to deliver my baby! Its okay you dont feel like eating. Keep liquid in your system. The baby is fine, you could deliver today and everything would be okay. That really concerns me about your Doc, Id think it over.
