My 7-year-old daughter has over 100 stuffed animals in almost-new condition that she wants to donate to other kids. I read once about some US soldier in Afghanistan who was distributing toys to kids over there, but I can't find the articla and haven't seen anything more on the subject.

Good Will is a good place. Also try a hospital. Our church donated stuffed animals for kids who were ill in the hospital. They make great friends for those that are sick.

Trust me first hand as a Mother of 4 and as a Paramedic the absolute best place to drop them off at is a firestation or an EMS company, children are usually in an ambulance alone and that stuffed animal becomes their comfort,I used to buy them with my own money,we had a boy burned and in so much pain that the only thing that made him calm was his stuffed dog, which he still had in the hospital 2 weeks later!!!

I agree with the hospital donation, as well as checking with your local police and fire departments. Christmas is coming in a few months so also check with toys for tots. i am not sure if they take only new toys though. Your daughter is a good person for wanting to share. you should be proud of her.*S*

What about right at home? There are alot of kids sick in hospital that would love the comfort that a stuffed animal would bring.
Same goes for women's shelters. The kids staying there need alot of comfort.

Your local fire/police department would be delighted to receive your toys. They give them to children who have survived a traumatic event and this would comfort them. Also, shelters need them, orphanages, hospitals, and elementary schools could benefit from these gifts. What a thoughtful thing to do! If more people extended themselves to others, this world would be a better place. God bless you and your family!

The police department. They use them for kids they meet, for interaction and to show they are the good guys. To help with the grieving of being pulled out of a bad situation from mommy and daddy, etc.

If she desires to deliver one, rather enable her! This surgical treatment is different from her previous 2, so she could desire to desire to have the stuff animal there. it could make her sense greater gentle, exceedingly after the surgical treatment while her throat would be extremely sore (i be responsive to from adventure, I had my tonsils and adenoids bumped off at age 9). additionally, my son had surgical treatment at 3.5 months. He did not deliver a stuff animal using fact he grew to become into too youthful, yet there have been numerous different little ones of each and every age on the well-being facility that had them. this is greater clever to purely enable her deliver the filled animal - greater clever for her to have it than to desire she did. Take care!
