I have a 12 yr old son, who has ADHD. He is a great kid, wonderful personality, sunny disposition. He has alot of friends and is respectful to adults. He is a C student though and doesn't seem to care how well he does at school. I am worried though because he is a follower. He knows all the dangers of drugs and alcohol. We talk to him about it openly and honestly. This summer at camp he was caught rolling a fake joint with leaves. I worry first about where he learned to do that. Then why? I assume to be cool. But what can I do to stop this before it gets started (I hope it hasn't started)? I have asked my older son (15) to talk to him and try to be a role model and a friend. My husband plans on spending more one on one time with him. Am I over-reacting? What more can I do?

I have one: One time, I heard of a lady who was walking from the parking lot to her work building and a lady who she knew of/heard of that worked at the same building as her, but didn't really know her personally, came up, lifted her shirt, and started rubbing her belly. She asked questions, and the pregnant lady was horrified!

My daughter is 20 months, and should already be well off the bottle. Problem is, she was a preemie, and the Dr. prescribed Pediasure for her for weight gain. (bless her heart, she's still not big enough for a front facing car seat.)

She won't drink it out of a sippie cup or a regular glass for that matter because of the Pediasure smell, and I don't really blame her. I went through the deal of not giving her the bottle and thinking she'd get used to a cup, but we can't afford for her to loose any weight. She will drink regular milk and juice out of an adult glass with a straw, so I don't think I'll have problems with the normal liquids.

I was going to wait until the Dr. takes her off the Pediasure before giving up the bottle completely. Is this a bad decision? If so, what's a better way to give it to her? Serious answers please.

I thought this might be better since it takes sperm a few hours to travel to the egg and then you will be lying down so they dont have to work against gravity.

My little one has never taken to playing independently. She will cling to my leg with every step, move with me from room to room, but will not play by herself. She is very intelligent, and has wonderful toys. she will play if I or someone else plays with her.

My five-year-old son is a sweet, cute, healthy kid. He's doing great in preschool and seems academically well-prepared to start kindergarten in September.

There's something about him that bothers me, though - he seems to act immature, even compared with kids around his age. He sometimes lapses into babytalk around his friends (I just caught him doing it this morning with another five-year-old boy, who then teased him for sounding like a baby). I've heard another child call him on this behavior a few months ago.

Also, he has a pretty explosive temper. He doesn't hit or bite other children, but he will scream at other children when he's unhappy with them and become physically aggitated (he's about 4 feet tall despite only being 5, so he must be scary-looking to some of the other kids).

To make things worse, I think some of his pre-school buddies, the boys especially, have taken to pushing his buttons just to watch him react and this makes him desolve into tears. Ideas?

We just went for 1st sonogram yesterday, 7-8 weeks pregnant from time of conception.

Doc says no heartbeat and the sack doesn't look like it's forming well. Doc suggests we get a d&c next week because we are having a miscarriage.

Could there be a chance that the doc made a mistake in the reading or that we are too early in the pregnancy to know for sure? Should we wait longer? It is possible that there is still hope?

I have helped raise my two little brothers and I have taken care of kids for many years.

My husband has never really been around kids and held a newborn baby for the first time a couple of months ago.

I found 3 childbirth DVDs that have childcare, breastfeeding, Lamaze, etc on it. Its about 6 hours on each DVD.

We were thinking about watching the interactive DVDs and reading the many baby books we bought.

If he felt uncomfortable still, then we would go to the classes.

Did you take the classes? Any advice?

I already have a daughter but she was a single birth. What are my chances of having twins. And if I do have twins how do I tell a 3 year old. My husband and I are not sure how she will handle 2 siblings.

Do you think it's weird that in public restrooms I tear off a few pieces of toilet paper and throw it away before I tear off the toilet paper I actually use?

My friend (we'll call her beth) was a product of rape, and her biological mother was extremely young, beth was told that her bio-mother was only 14 when she had her. Beth intends on finding he biological mother in a few years after she finishes college, and thanking her for giving her a chance at life..

would you be able to carry a baby to term and put it up for adoption, or would you terminate the pregnancy?

Personal Opnions please!

Heres the deal.... YES I know unprotected sex is bad and my fiance and I are trying hard to stop having sex in the first place.. But... I know a little bit about the body and about fertility (and I'd appreciate only people who do also to answer) so I figured we'd be safe because we had sex about 1-3 days after I ended my period last month. I last started my period on (I believe) June 3, 2006. It is now July 14, 2006 and still no period. Up until this past Tuesday, I have taken SIX pregnancy tests... All have come up negative. I have been under a lot of stres lately (I'm entering nursing school in the fall) and I know that can delay your period. But I'm still a little scared because I've heard of the cases where girls take pg tests that come up negative, only to find out a few months later that they are pregnant. Any advice? Thanks.
