Well the gene comes from the father thats why you might not be having twins. But if so tell your 3 year old mommy has 2 little babies in her stomach a brother or a sister for you!

It would depend on when when the baby is due if it is a long ways you probable should wait to tell your 3yr old she won't under stand. If you are showing you can start to tell her. Be honest with her. If you are going to have and ultrasound then after that worry about if you are having them and talking to your daughter. You do have a higher chance of having twins with your family history. Handling 1 sibling would be hard for a small child any way I am not sure that 2 will be much different for her.

have u not had an ultra sound done??? thay will tell u if u have twins. twins are genetic if u have alot in ur family it raises ur chances and if ur husband has them in his family it raises ur chances more but there is no way to say if u will have twins or not but if u do have twins just be onest with ur daughter and tell her. she will probably be jelouse at first just cause she has been the only child but than she may love the idea of having 2 younger sisters. my oldest boy was not to happy about having a brother at first but now he loves it and is always trying to help he is 15 months old and his little brother is 2 months old thay were born 13 months apart

i am not a twin and twins do not run in our family at least not as far back as 6 generations (researched it)...also my husbands family - same....however we had twins (fraternal) basically due to double ovulation....the women on my side of the family are extremely fertile (my aunt got pregnant on the pill 3 times!)....so it is likely that you could have twins...i wouldnt rule it out...and telling a three year old about having two shouldnt be any more difficult than one nor should it be any harder for her to understand...her concept isnt quite that developed yet...

Well, it is a little late to worry how she will handle it now isn't it? I am sure she will love them. I doubt you will have twins since your first pregnancy was a single birth. Congrats!
