Heres the deal.... YES I know unprotected sex is bad and my fiance and I are trying hard to stop having sex in the first place.. But... I know a little bit about the body and about fertility (and I'd appreciate only people who do also to answer) so I figured we'd be safe because we had sex about 1-3 days after I ended my period last month. I last started my period on (I believe) June 3, 2006. It is now July 14, 2006 and still no period. Up until this past Tuesday, I have taken SIX pregnancy tests... All have come up negative. I have been under a lot of stres lately (I'm entering nursing school in the fall) and I know that can delay your period. But I'm still a little scared because I've heard of the cases where girls take pg tests that come up negative, only to find out a few months later that they are pregnant. Any advice? Thanks.

Ok to add on to my question.. No, I am not very regular in the sense of having a 28 day cycle. My cycle is usually around 30-33 days, but I have never "skipped" a period or gone this long without one.

My wife is the same way, her periods are very irregular. She's actually on birth control now in order to KEEP her periods regular. She's skipped months before under extrememly stressful situations, and not become pregnant. However, when our child was conceived, it was only a few days before she was supposed to start menstruating, and then she actually got the period. Technically, there is no time when you CAN'T get pregnant, there are just times when there's less than a 1% chance of conceiving. I wouldn't put it past you to have actually conceived a child accidentally, but don't go out buying baby clothes yet. Keep trying the pregnancy tests, and in a few weeks you should know for sure. Remember, most pregnancy tests can show false results up until you're a month or so in term. Good luck, whatever the outcome!

If I were you I would go see a doctor. That's really the only way that you are going to know for sure. It is possible that you are pregnant then again it could be the stress. A little over 2 years ago I didn't have my period for 5 months. At first I thought I was pregnant took home pregnancy test and they all came up negative. Went to the doctor several times he done test after test and I wasn't pregnant. I was just under a lot of stress and that's what was causing me not to have a period.

By now if you were pregnant you would have had a positive pregnancy test. They are sensitive enough now a days to detect pregnancy on the day of you missed period. First Response pregnancy tests can even detect pregnancy 5 days before your missed period. You are more than likely just stressing out. Periods aren't set in stone and they can fluctuate because of hormones, stress, lack of sleep, diet, etc. I've been pregnant twice and there are a lot more symptoms than just a missed period that you would see also. I say you just wait it out, if you have had all of those negative tests then you are more than likely not pregnant. If you haven't had a period in about 2 more weeks, take another test or just make an appointment with a OB GYN. Good luck with everything sweetie and good luck with nursing school.

First of all...your cycle begins with the first day of your menstrual period. So, having sex 1-3 days after your period ends is day 8-10 of your cycle. Most women have 28 day cycles which means you'd be most fertile day 14 + or - 2 days. If your cycle is less than 28 days, guess what? You could have been in mid cycle. As for your pregnancy tests, try first thing in the morning when the pregnancy hormone is highest and you have a high volume of urine that isn't concentrated.

See your doctor and have a clinical test done. If test is negative, relax and swear off unprotected sex OK. If you're to be a mommy, talk w/ dad: you two are committed parents. When's the wedding? There are a lot of joys with being a parent...and being a good one takes plenty of work, too.

Abortion's something I don't think you can fully live with going through. I only am for it in cases where rape occurs or if the child in early stages is medically determined severe deformities are present.

Adoption's an option only if by being parents, you and fiance will not financially make it above abject poverty level for the next 18 years and you want the child to have a far better life than one you and BF clearly can give him/her.

It's an equally tough call to make, but the child lives to grow a happy life of his or her own.

You can get pregnant right after your period. It doesn't happen often, but it's possible. The pregnancy tests won't work until a day or two before your next period is due to start. If your that concerned and stressed, I would go get a blood test. If your stressed that may cause you to miss your next period which will make things even worse. Go to a clinic and get tested, it is a sure way to find out. Good luck, whatever way you want it.

Well yes missing a period can be caused by stress. If you have taken 6 test then you probably are ok. But i would advise you to go to the doctor. Your doctor will give you a pregnancy test if you are 2 weeks late on your period. It will be a blood test and that is as accurate as your going to get. Good luck with everything!!

Pregnancy tests can be wrong, so the best thing to do is go to the clinic and have them give you a test. Those are much more accurate than the at home tests. It's very possible that you're pregnant, but the pregnancy hormone was not detected by the at home test.

Honey... all that crap about fertility and the "best" and "worst" and the "impossible" times to get pregnant are just that... CRAP! I got pregnant the day after my period ended. So you could be pregnant. Forget the tests. Go to the doctor to find out for sure. Either way, pregnant or not, the two week late period should be checked out. Good luck

I would see if your period comes within the next three days. Are your periods usually regular? If you are under stress, absolutly can it affect things! But, there is always the chance of pregnancy too. Usually if you were 2 weeks late, a positive result would show up if you were indeed pregnant. Give it a couple days
