my friend recently found out that she is pregnant and is not sure if she can go in the swimming pool at a party next week. will the chlorine hurt the baby? can she go to the beach and go in the water?

I had my son at 19. I was clueless at raising a son and since his father and I split up during my pregnancy, I raised him on my own. I never had much money, so even though I provided the necessary things, I never could provide alot of extras until he was older. Now at 29, I am remarried and we have a 2 yr. old daughter. I have enjoyed raising an infant and toddler so much more this time around and I tend to do and buy much more for my daugher than I do for my son or stepson. It is not that she is an easier child, its just that I know more and have more energy,and also because shes a girl and I love girly things. I know that I go overboard buying clothes, toys and little cutsy decorative things for my daughter, but I do it for my own enjoyment, not hers(at 2 yrs. old she isn't asking for all this stuff). I feel guilty for showering my daugher with so much more attention and stuff, but I can't help it. Am I a bad person?????

hello! Ive got a question in the Womans Health section about my breasts. Im 28, never been pregnant, period due in next few days (the cycle is usually 28-35 days, got my coil out last July) have been trying for a baby, but we decided to stop because I was getting obsessed about not conceiving. And I was at the GP on Tuesday for blood tests as maybe have polycystic ovaries. Also waiting for an ultrasound scan for that.
Well today Ive been feeling really weepy and very nauseated. And for the first time in my life (I NEVER have sore boobs before a period) my breasts have been aching, feel heavy and hot - like on fire! Also my nipples are hypersensitive & VERY sore. In the shower the water felt like sandpaper. Theres no nipple discharge or any change in breast shape/size. Im just puzzled at the strange sensations! And its a bit annoying when I cant even touch my boobs! Even my top & bra hurts them.

For some reason i think i need 2 loose weight. My height is "5.4" and i weigh 108, i used 2 weigh 104, but i gained 4 pounds.
Do I need 2 loose weight?
I really like 2 eat junk food and I want 2 start eating more heathy 2. So wat should i do??

I'm going to my boyfriend's house in 33 days! I am so excited but i am not on birth control, i never have been but it wasnt as big of a deal because we just did the whole withdraw thing. but i will be at his house for 10 days and it would be nice if we didnt have to do that every time... anyway... when should i start taking birth control so it is effective when i see him??

I am 23 and about 6 months ago I started getting this INTENSE desire to have a baby. I think about it everyday.

Luckily my husband agreed to start trying in about a year for our first baby. We have been together for 5 years, so I guess its normal to think about babies now!

She is the only child. I spoiled her with going to bed with her when she was younger. She wouldn't sleep without me. Now it's a little better, but she still gets up 2 or 3 times in the night crying for me to sleep with her. It's to the point where I have to set two alarm clocks- one in my room and the other in hers- because I never know where I'll end up. It's starting to wear me down- correction- it's been wearing me down. I have tried taking suggestions from Super Nanny- putting her to bed on her own. The first night, I counted 36 times getting up and putting her to bed. The next night was 18. I went to her Doctor and put her on nighttime meds to relax her to go to sleep. I just can't break her out of the getting up all hours of the night looking for moma.
