It has come to my attention that alot of people think if you are married and/or have kids then you should roll over and die and by that I mean. I (apparently) am suppose to be right with my children 24/7. I recieved several "notices" that I should be taking care of my kids instead of on the computer.

What do you think about this?
Should we roll over and die just because we have kids?
If you don't have children, don't answer

How much do you pay or would pay to have your newborn watched by a friend that is not licensed 4 days a week??? I want to be fair to her. She also has a newborn of her own and is doing it for the extra cash. I am not sure the weekly cost of licensed daycares to compare any pricing to!

My 14 year old daughter is dating a wonderful 16 year old boy. They are both "very much in love" and think they are "sure to get married" one day. What can I say to my daughter about sex that will make sense to her?

I have three girls ages 4, 6, and 8. I feel like my 8 year old may be a little immature for her age. Is it because she's with her younger sisters all of the time? I need to let go a little and let her do her own thing sometimes. How do I don that?

I would keep the baby. Most people say that pregnacy after rape will cause more grief and it is best to get an abortion. They say that looking At the kid will only be a constant reminder. I disagree. I think abortion will add more grief and maybe other psycological problems to the already standing situation. Most women that had the baby I read had no negative thoughts ever about the child and love that child for however long after the birth. I think a birth would be the best answer because you would ultimately be like a rainbow after the storm, joy after the pain, and sunshine after the rain. I think having the child would be bringing a gift from god after a horrible situation. Plus at least you can take another turn afterwards. Abortion is permanent. You can never turn back afterwards. At least there is still adoption if the birth is a problem.
I mean no offense to people who have or are struggling through this but as you do,I have a right to my opinions, even if they offend u.

Kathleen DeZeeuw, whose son Patrick was conceived in rape when she was 16, writes: "I, having lived through rape, and also having raised a child 'conceived in rape' feel personally assaulted and insulted every time I hear that abortion should be legal because of rape and incest. I feel that we're being used by pro-abortionists to further the abortion issue though we've not been asked to tell our side of the story."

The case against abortion for incest pregnancies is even stronger. Studies show that incest victims rarely ever voluntarily agree to abortion. Instead of viewing the pregnancy as unwanted, the incest victim is more likely to see the pregnancy as a way out of the incestuous relationship because the birth of her child will expose the sexual activity.

For example, Edith Young, a 12-year-old victim of incest, writes twenty-five years after the abortion of her child: "The abortion which was to 'be in my best interest' just has not been. As far as I can tell, it only 'saved their (my parents') reputations, solved their problems' and allowed their lives to go merrily on."

our son, trevon donell moore, was born july 10,2006 at 3:45. he weighed 7.7 ounce and was 8 inches long. he was a fighter and fought for a long time to stay alive while in my uterus. this is our 3rd loss but our 1st loss as a fully progressed child. we have to get genetic testing done and my hubby says we should wait 1 year until we try again. i know that might be best but i really do want a child. how long should i wait ? am i being selfish by wanting a child sooner?

My husband and I are ready to have a baby, we are waiting until we pay off our house loan so we will have money for children.

After everything is paid (insurance, taxes, bills, 401k, etc.) we will have $1800 a month left over to pay towards children.

Do you think this will be enough to pay for diapers, daycare, food, formula if needed, toys, etc? We are hoping to have one child with in two year and another one 2-3 years after that.

Our insurance will not go up and our doctor co-pays are low, so that’s not a lot of money. Our day care will also be about $350/month per baby since my mother has a daycare/preschool and is charging us less since it will be her grandchildren.

This is not a question to show off that I have some money, I live in California so the price of living is more out here. Do you think we can afford children?

Sometimes a baby is born with blue eyes (for example), but later in life his or her eyes slowly change color. Three of my siblings were born with blue eyes but now have brown eyes, whereas I and two other siblings retained our blue eyes. I understand the concepts of dominant and recessive genes, but I would like to know how long it usually takes for a dominant eye color gene to assert itself if it is present.

I've been on the pill for five years. My period is always on time. This month I have had all the symptoms that I was going to get my period, but it is now four days late. I had cramps and back ache during the three days I was suppose to have it, but now, nothing. What's going on, could I be pregnant?

When I went to my doctor's yesterday, I noticed pamphlets on Hypnobirthing. My doc is very honest about things and said that this helps a lot of his patients through childbirth without using as many drugs. I'm not pregnant yet but I'm terrified about the pain I'll have when the time comes. :) Has anyone used this method? If so, do you believe it helped with the pain, did you still have drugs and would you recommend it as opposed to Lamaze-type classes? Thanks!!
