i just lost my mucus plug about an hour ago, and now have a dull cramp-like feeling in my abdomen, very similar to the icky feeling we all get a day or two before our period. Is it possible that this is the start of labor? I honestly don't know... and am kind of nervous...

I am seperated from his father and have no way of monitoring what goes on when he is visiting. His dad says he does not swear around him. Occasionally some one will let one slip and a big deal was made I think thats how it started. So now when he gets mad he swears.... He says the f word, stupid and sh it. And he uses the words in the correct context. I've tried ignoring it as the daycare suggested but that doesnt work because when we go visiting and he swears some one always reacted to it. I need to stop this before he starts at the montessori school and gets kicked out. Besides I don't want this to make me seem like a bad parent. What can I do? Time is runnig out.

I live with my fiance in a 3 fam. house that his parents own(they live on the first fl) and last year my son got lead poisoning from the house. His level was 49 and he was 2years old. I never knew anything about lead poisoning and his parents never warned me about it. I didnt sue them and we stayed in a hotel for 3 months while they fixed our appartment. It just seems to me that she is more worried about getting sued than she is for my son. his parents fixed most of their appartment too but they just recently built a porch that is level with a window and the outside of the window still has lead paint and I keep telling them to cover it and they said why its our house & our enterance and I told her because my son wants to go on that porch with the other kids and its dangerous to all the kids here ..she just rolled her eyes. My son is always going to have prob from this.. Would you sue her if you were me? do you think their homeowners insurance covers this?

Tell him you like him. Just be like "I like you."? Or is this there a better way...
I would like him to like me back and I know that he may not, but a lasting impression doesn't hurt (as long as it's a good one) right?

I was born with a cleft palate because I was premature at birth, and my mother was diabetic. She did not take car of herself at all her sugars were unstable all the time, so they had to take me at 27 weeks. I was 2 pounds and 9 ounces, and I had a cleft palate, club foot, one leg was 1 1/2 inches shorter than the other, an open valve in my heart, and had to have surgery on some other things, the docs were not sure if I would make it, and said if I did I might be mentally retarded, or something similar, and that I might not be able to have kids.

I'm 18 now, and pregnant. I had tons of surgeries over the years, but I no longer have a short leg, club foot, open valve in my heart, I have a bridge so that I have front teeth, and I'm not mentally retarted.

I have turned out just as the doctors thought I wouldn't....normal.

But here is my question. Could my baby have any of these things?
My Doc wants to do a scan to make sure the baby doesn't have a cleft palate. should I be worried?

When going thru these questions and answering them I have found that many of them are from boyfriends. Why don't you marry her before you get her pregnant?? Don't be hateful I'm just asking a question.

Just before my milk comes down, I feel terribly anxious and very tearful and depressed, just awful! I call it the 'I want my Mommy' feeling, as it reminds me of when I was a kid and missed my Mom, like when I was at school! It makes me not want to breastfeed at times, I hate it. Does anyone else get this feeling, or am I alone in this?

According the AAP kids shouldnt watch tv until 2. Whats the reason why? Does it affect brain development? My son is 4 months old and I don't allow him to. Some people think I'm being silly. I'd like to give them a specific reason why it's not good for them.

It seems as though he's not even taken an interest in it yet. He knows what the potty is. I brought him to the store with me and he picked out his own potty. I work full time and its difficult for me to be consistant. Diapers to briefs and briefs to diapers. When I try to sit him on the toilet he only sits there for a minute and gets up and says "all done" then flushes. But he doesnt really go. I dont want to make him sit there for too long because he doesnt seem to like it and I dont want him to resent the toilet. I've tried him on the regular toilet. I've tried leaving him naked on the weekends when im not working, Im getting kinda frustrated but I'm not pushing him. His grandmother tells me that he uses the potty at her house sometimes and she doesnt do anything different. His cousin 6 months younger than him is potty trained already and there real close almost like brothers. I mean he never even did it once 4 me So..... how long should I wait before thinkings there's a problem.

I understand for the newly pregnant mother it sinks in very quickly, it did with my girlfriend.

Im just wondering about any fathers out there, when did it start feeling real for you? feeling the bump? seeing the scan? when you first held your baby in your hands?

Would also be very interested in hearing from anybody with an opinion.

My girlfriend is a small girl. She is only 5'3" and weighs 120 pounds. She has an athletic build and the women in her family line have a history of triplets in at least the last 3 generations. She thinks it would be nice to have triplets but she is unsure if her body would be capable of bearing them without complications.
