If she is lactose intolerant, NEVER give her regular milk. Kids do not need cow's milk to become healthy & grow. As long as she has a balanced diet, she'll do just fine w/o dairy.
I see too many parents pushing dairy on their kids. The kids keep getting bellyaches or intestinal upsets, but the parents don't heed the complaints. We're all told to give our kids dairy, but in reality most of those advertisements & studies are funded by the dairy farmers of america group.

I have a 13 month old daughter who is not lactose intolerant and when she went for her 12 month check up her Dr said that she can start drinking regular milk from a sippy cup she said no more than 24oz a day. You should talk to your pediatrician for the best advise on this situation.

You could try giving her soy or rice milk, or just give her diluted juice in a sippy cup. You can also put her formula in a sippy cup if she's that interested in it- just mix it in a bottle so you get the right amount of water and pour it in!

I HATE the excuse "My mom did it with me and that i grew to grow to be out superb" that's no reason to objective it with your toddler. I walked in the course of the line once earlier searching and did not get hit with the help of a motor vehicle. Does that advise that's okay to do every time? actual not. little ones 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and fewer than want both breast milk or formulation, not some thing else. in case you won't be able to hit upon a good formulation then take her to the well being care service and characteristic some assessments executed to rule out particular issues(allergic reactions) or try relactating to breastfeed. it should be executed notwithstanding it's going to take some artwork. Cow's milk does not have each of the food your toddler desires at this age.

you shouldnt start her on milk until she is at least 1 year old. if she is wanting to drink from a sippy cup, then give her formula in a sippy cup rather than a bottle.

There are many Non Milk formulas for your baby which you can give her in a cup for a long time, even during the time they start into whole foods. Check them out in the store, myduaghter had the same problem and we used Enfamil.

You should hold off from giving her just plain milk to drink until she is 1 year old. If she is lactose intolerent, you may want to concider not giving her milk at all. Think about using soy milk instead. Oh, and talk to you doctor at her 1 year visit about this.

Talk to your pediatrician, but most recommend at least 1 year and make sure it is WHOLE milk, not reduced fat.
