Here is a professional opinion from an educator. Absolutely not! You would be wasting your intelligence to repeat coursework you have already covered. No reputable school district would allow this - and I cannot believe ( if this is a serious question) your parents would allow it either. I frequently have my shortest boys sixth grade boys come back to visit after they have entered high school. I can usually hardly recognize them since they have grown a good 12 inches in 3 or 4 years. Even if you remain short - what's wrong with that? It certainly hasn't hurt Tom Cruise any! ( He's 5'7" with his shoes on.) I would take a short and smart guy over a tall and dumb one any day!

My son skipped 9th grade. He is 15 and I had hesitations of his skipping a grade due to the fact I didnt want him to miss out on all the little things! BUT he has done soooo well- straight A's and could even skip to being a senior! He didnt suffer in any way by skipping a grade. ONLY you can tell if you need more study on something im,portant. You can always study it when u get home on the computer. Skipping a grade looks great on a college application!

If you were smart enough to skip a grade then why would you want to go back a grade. i mean.. there are guys in highschool who are in the right grade and are really short. i don't think that you should repeat a grade if you don't have to. and its also good because colleges will see that in the future that you skipped a grade and not so good if you stayed back a year. there will always be short guys in hs.... so dnt wory about it too mcuh

I doubt they would let you repeat the 8th grade, besides why on earth would you want to redo all of that? Guys usually grow an extreme amount during highschool years. So even if just for one year you are shorter compared to the others, you'll still catch up!

You don't have 2 repeat The 8th grade so u won't be so short in HS, bcz it doesn't count. Believe me, being short or tall doesn't matter but what does, is learn to be yourself & trust and have faith in it.Don't you care to what people think about you of being short, what does matter you'll graduate HS early and that very nice of being smart. good luke.

You shouldn't repeat 8th Grade just because you are shorter than everyone else.If you are smart enough to skip 6th Grade then you shouldn't care. You are probably smarter than them anyway!!!!

you can care what people think.
even if you get your drivers lisences later then everyone else
who cares. short people are cute and cool and i like talking to them
i will get my drivers lisense late too i have a late b day/
just dont worry about it people will like you even if you are short. and the people who dont are stupid and u dont want to hang out with them anyway.
even if u did go back to 8th grade you still may be short

no, i don't think you should. the fact that you skipped 6th grade proves that you smart, (usually)so who cares if your short! I'm short, and I'm getting along fine.

I wouldn't have stayed behind. Imagine how bored you'll be having to go through the exact same learning material you just learned last year! Your height will catch up, and besides, great things come in small packages. :)
