Even when your question is not specific, I'll share that in my case I had a C-section. My doctor told me not to have sex for a little more than a month and no lifting anything heavier than the baby. Because I was brestfeeding, I ate/drank everything BUT: onions, eggs, beans, seafood, regular coffee, spicy foods, and of course alcoholic beverages. Drinking lots of water will help you produce more milk.
I would say, keep taking your pregnancy vitamins and try to eat healthy to get your energy back. Please, don't worry about your body's appearance right after the birth, it'll take some time to look like your pre-pregnancy self but in some 6 to 12 months with a little excercise you'll do it. I hope this helps...

You won't be able to sleep because your baby will want to be fed every 2 hours. You'll be very tired, so tired that any conversation will feel like you're doing an algebra problem. Your brain will be turned off.

Also my tummy was actually BIGGER when I left the hospital, that was horrible. She was about 6 weeks old before I started noticing a difference and 12 weeks old before I could squeeze into my old jeans.

From your shoulders to your hips you'll feel like jello for about a week. That was terrible.

Stay on a healthy diet, especially if you're breastfeeding. Get as much rest as possible, along with adequate exercise. If you plan to have sex any time soon after the doctor gives you the OK, use RELIABLE birth control, because the last thing you need is to end up pregnant again so soon!

Don't do any heavy lifting for at least 4 months. Your ligaments are still soft and you could hurt yourself. Try to get enough sleep and eat plenty of protein because you will need it if you are nursing. Take extra iron until after you stop bleeding.
