Pregnancy & Parenting - 14 July 2006

Would I be about half way through my 4th month if I'm 16 weeks or so? The way I was doing it I thought at 17 weeks that was the START of the fourth month. Can someone explain how this works to me! I have vacation on the 1st of September, so what month would that be if I'm 16 weeks? Thanks!!

I know curry is a hot food to help induce labor yourself but don't really know more than that. What do you recommend to eat??? I hear this has started more labors for people than sex and walking!!! I am 38 1/2 weeks along.

how is pregnancy, how painful is giving birth, be as descriptive as possible. do you regret it. what do you think is the best part of being a mother, also be as descriptive as possible. at what age did you feel you wanted to be a mother, was ur little one a mistake? or was it planned. what advice would you give to someone that is not sure if they want to have kids.

my 2 year old is very busy all the time. She likes to get into weird stuff and the other day at the nanny's she cut her hair off . Is this normal 2 year old behavior or is my baby just a little wacky ?

I think it should, Abortion stops a beating heart, a live child.
Life starts at conception, the cells start multiplying, then it grows, living

of course there is the whole rape thing, the bby should just go to foster home if mother don't want it (poor kid)

My husband is being relocated out of state, and our kids are excited about going but also very upset about moving away from their friends. We're moving from Texas to Kansas, so it's pretty far from "home", and visits back will be few and far between. Any suggestions on how to help them keep in touch with their old friends and still help them make new ones?

Some ideas I've thought of:
We're starting an address book to get addresses, phone numbers, and email adresses. I think they'll enjoy the idea of having pen-pals.
Also, two of my kids have birthdays in September. I thought we could make their birthday parties "get-to-know-you" parties with their new classmates.

I'd love to hear success stories as well...

She knows the whole routine of going potty, she just won't do it. At the most inconveinient times (such as camping) she will stay dry, but at home she is always wetting herself, and frequently soiling herself as well. It is SO FRUSTERATING! I have heard of the 1 day method, but I don't think that it would help with her because she is already halfway there- she just been stuck half way there for about 6 months.

I've read on here women saying not to reach for anything too high when you're pregnant, and not to lift things? Why??How much weight is too much? I work out and use weights, usually no more than 15 pounds or so. Isn't lifting a child you already have heavier?? Why is that ok, and lifting groceries or anything else not?
