can a pregnant woman dilate to 1cm and stay there for a while at 34wks?

Its not uncommon to stay dilated at a 1 for up to three weeks. I was dilated at a 1 for three myself

yup.. did with both my kids. At 38 weeks, I was at a 5 and 80% effaced, so yes it is possible, and it's actually normal. 1 cm doesn't mean anything when you are dealing with pregnancy.

yes you can be dialated as early as 34 weeks
its very common and not cause for alarm if you start contracting see a dr or hospital or if you lose your mucus plug but it's quite normal

Might take a week or two for you to go into labour. You should ask your doctor that follows your pregnancy he'll know best. It's hard to judge how long it will take.

yes, but your doctor should either put you in the hospital or give you a surgery to keep you from dialating any further. you should be on total bed rest either way

yes very possible. she needs to time her contractions evrytime she feels them.
