I was looking on the Air Force website and I couldn't find anything but I did read in a forum that having a broken bone at any time in your life will disqualify you. Is this true?
I broke one of my long bones very severely and it was never set, but I went through physiotherapy and I am 100% better. No loss of movement, strength, etc.

Hello again,
I delted the older question b/c I wanted to add more info, I am unsure how to reply to a question someone asked in response to my question.

I wanted to ask if anyone knew the answer to this question...my DH military mid-month LES is not showing up as usual this month--- when I called customer service, they said it was b/c we are in a transient status, meaning we will be PCS soon, so there is no mid month LES delivery beacause of that. I was just wondering if anyone else had this same issue?

We have not gotten paid as yet for this mod month-- that missing mid month LES is for this month, (Dec14th or 15th). and usually, they display the mid month LES a week prior to that paydate (this past Friday) thanks in advance, just want to be sure everything is ok and if anyone had ever experienced this before.

How similar is life as a Surface Warfare Officer to enlisted. Do they both have about the same free time and what about living conditions? Also, purely out of curiousity, what kind of uniform would a SWO normally wear while deployed? I heard that a new blue and gray digital camo was being tested to use for all ranks, but I was wondering if this was true. Any information would be extremely apprieciated! Thanks!!!

Earlier i asked a question "Ok...Marines..how do you feel about women joining the Marine corps.?and why do you feel that way?".And One person answered and said "Just be aware that there is a small group of men in any branch of the military that are bent on making it hell for any military female. I have heard more than one man say that they would shoot a fellow female in the heat of combat so they could "continue fighting without worrying about her".

Females in the military are also more vulnerable to rape, especially in war, than probably any other profession. It has been covered up very well by the military.

As I said, it is a small group of men that make such a large problem, but it is something that every female who is considering the military must think about. Most upstanding men will downplay this problem because it is the ugliest of the ugly, and decent men can't fathom such behavior. Please, just be aware."

Please..tell me most of that isnt true....?

I heard it is illegal for members of foreign military services to wear their duty or dress uniforms within the United States unless that are going to specific events where they would need to wear it.

Is this true? Can you tell me what the law is?

It appears those who defend the US presence in Iraq vehemently deny it is an occupation. Do they deny it is an occupation because they agree an occupation would be illegal or wrong under int'l law, and thus the US would not be engaged in such activity? Why feel so strongly about the term "occupation" then?

I've been doing some research on military bases because my love and I will be living near a base when he completes his Infantry Training early next year. He tells me that they will find out their permanent assignment in January. For example; Ft. Riley KS is on the prairie where there is a notorious tornado problem. If you are driving and a tornado is approaching what do you do? I'm from CA and just learned how to drive in May. In fact my husband (then boyfriend) both learned together and we got our licenses the same day on Friday before our Prom. I'm still a little nervous about driving but actually I'm trusted enough by my mother in law to pick up Jamie's little sister from her after school program and my own brother from his middle school. They let me use one of their cars because I'm staying with them. My dad has been taking me out on the freeways on Sundays to practice but I can literally "FEEL" his fear lol lol. It snows near a lot of bases. How do you drive in the snow?
