I have heard that full-auto fire is no longer standard issued in the military; and that they now offer only semi and burst mode. Is this true? I have also heard that on special occasions some M16s are modded to have the auto function for those high ranked or special op troops.

I wonder why a assault rifle such as the m-16A4 can't have all 3 mode of fire instead of excluding one or the other. Answers are appreciated.

I've read at work and online the various laws of the EEO. I read parts about doing military service, and how it grants basically immunity to people performing military service.... but the term 'military service' sounds more like it's for people already in the military. I maybe be wrong...

Are there laws that will protect my status at my fulltime job if I choose to go from civilian to a National Guard or Reservist?

I was 16 years old, and I'm now 20. I do have other charges, but not serious at all. I did probation for it, when I was 16.

I've been hearing since its a youthful offense, it's not as serious, and I have not had another domestic dispute.

I was told yesterday by my 1SG that dropping a soldier is "no longer authorized". Is this true? I had heard that you can no longer humiluate them, or cause undue hurt/pain, and the like, but no dropping whatsoever? Is it for real????

I have tons of people telling me different things. I hear: no they dont have to if they dont want to. Okay, I had a conversation with a anti-war protester and to cut a long story short he called me a coward and said that I wouldn't go fight over in Iraq. When I told him I would he just walked away. I plan to join the navy early next year after college. Here is my question. Would you go fight in Iraq. My husband is in the Navy and we are thinking of moving his mother in with us. She has multiple strokes and is on disability. She is currently in Hawaii. We just don't want her to be alone. I have read that we can claim her but she can't get Tricare. So if anyone is in my situation or knows who to talk to your help would be appriciated.
