About 1,200 will be accepted and decide to attend the Academy. It's possible to be accepted and not receive an appointment, or to receive an appointment but not get accepted (that happened to my friend.) Since you need, both an appointment and admission, the acceptance rate is quite low...it think around 14%. If it is 14%, that would mean almost 9,000 people apply. It is possible to get on a waitlist, though. Good luck, if you are applying!!!!

touch your Senators, and the different Congressperson you could. yet it somewhat is unquestionably impressive. I even have gained a Congressional Nomination to USMMA on way decrease than that, and am waiting for an appointment now. in case you don't get into the Academy, i will extremely be shocked, it somewhat is amazingly impressive. And just to enable you already know, all of us knows a well-known or an Admiral. i will are starting to be a letter of reccomendation from the previous Captain of the united statesTexas. yet extremely, you're set merely with that. on your Congressional Nomination, get a letter of Reccomendation out of your CO, (in line with risk yet another NSCC officer), the USN LCDR, and another instructors. it would nonetheless help. (And just to make sparkling, you're no longer a Senior, superb? with the aid of fact if so, too late for this 12 months.)

"Approximately 2,000 candidates are found fully qualified (scholastic, medical, CFA, and have obtained a nomination) each year. Of that number, about 1,500 will receive appointments and approximately 1,200 become midshipmen. Most candidates will be notified of their final status by April 15."
